Great to see this sort of consistency. Still, I thought Kellaway might have made the 23, and I'd have 2 locks on the bench rather than 2 loosies. Also given our capitulation in the last 10.

This is excellent stability, particularly compared to the Boks. At a SFS sell out. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, looking at relaxing after my daughter's birthday party with the Rugby on TV this week. I like that we haven't to make changes through injury this week - surely something's changed with their setup with less injuries this time around (or there's more game fitness now?)

Impressive as well that we don't have to rush Bell back in. After looking a bit rusty, Sio and Slipper bounced back to give us our best depth at loosehead in ever.

That's good to hear Rennie mention Hooper as making progress.

There has been a bit more in the last week with there being a story from McReight about Hooper texting him right after the game last week.

There was also a post on social media by Rugby Australia that featured Michael Hooper and his dog. No idea if the photo was recent.

I didn't think he was that great. Holds the ball way too long.

Agreed, either he or Leota. Holloway has been a passenger so far.

Not as much as Arnold who did very little outside of the set piece and looked still out of fitness to me.
Don't think starting FF (Folau Fainga'a) again makes a lot of sense, rewarding a poor performance.

Gordon has been fine in the limited opportunities he has had this season. So has McDermott.

McDermott played the last 15 minutes on the weekend in a period where the Wallabies got dominated. I'm not saying that was at all due to his play but likewise, there was hardly anything there to suggest he's nailed the bench halfback role.

Likewise, neither has Gordon.

Both were good this season.

We should be able to improve our combinations while the Boks have a lot of new faces in their side. A fast start again would be nice.

I think McDermott and Gordon are both great halfbacks and I also think giving all our halfbacks game time is important.
Yes Tate holds the ball slightly longer because he's looking for a chance to run. Can't believe we are still having the discussion with a new set of halfbacks.
