Is that actually against the rules?
They called it a wreckless play which endangered a player. I’m not sure ‘diving at legs’ would be written specifically in the rules.

In the NRL it’s a pretty clear cut cannonball tackle and would likely be a send off. In basketball it would result in an ejection. I think it’s in line with how most sports treat that type of play.

Everyones acting like.he just saw the leg and went at it to break it. He was using his upper body and trying to get under and all lift as he fell. It's a rugby incident

Dave Rennie needs to make IQ tests mandatory and passing a baseline before you allowed anywhere near the Wallabies. We can’t afford to have some players on the team they are nothing but lead in the saddle bags. Or to quote Forrest Gump ‘stupid is as stupid does’.

no, the penalty had been called first

intention and outcome are not mentioned in the rule.

it was a card every day of the week, and particularly with a northern hemisphere ref.
The injury happend straight away and they looked at it to try and blame someone. They succeeded

It wasn't intentional his arm goes under the leg.. don't make out like he was trying to damage the knee.. it was dumb but not malicious
Bullshit, it was a shit act, sitting here with an Aussie we jsut watched a replay of it, ne is looking at the knee that is braced and hits it from side.
There was never any other thong but to try and cause injury, I am disappointed that anyone is defending acts like that!

Oh sorry sir I charged in a little too chargy on the charge spectrum of ruck and maul charging. Apologies. I will gently engage with gentle carreses next time I decide that a ruck should be engaged upon.

But not too high and not too low. And with both arms. Without one touching a low leg.

So the ref awards the ABs a try but couldn’t see a grounding? I think alleged try scorer was actually out … great reffing!
How do you know what he saw? We can only see what the cameras show and surely he was in a better position.
