Yeah I hope Lolesio gets dropped. The bloke has had 16 games in Gold. He's not the answer unfortunately, we've invested in the wrong guy. Time to move on. He had 75 minutes against the worst tier 1 team, outside him was the Wallabies best backline barring maybe Kellaway. Time's up.

Nah, Swain was one of our best on the weekend and is still possibly up there in our best 23... the inconsistency from our pool of locks hasn't got us any closer as to who will go to the RWC next year.

If Frost is still injured I would definitely start Swain with Skelton again for Ireland.

Sorry guys, forgot Marika and Samu were in the beer queue at the game.

As I said, they were our best backs outside Lolesio barring Kellaway. This will be our backline next week against Ireland:
11. Kellaway 12. Paisami 13. Ikitau 14. Wright 15. Campbell

point remains, Lolesio has had 16 games in Gold, 75 minutes with our best backs available to put away Italy and did fuck all. Time to accept we backed the wrong horse. I'm almost certain Rennie has realised this, I'll wager someone that Lolesio won't even make the RWC squad.

Yes and it's a shame he realised it with 5mins to go and decided to royally shaft Donaldson on his debut.

I don't disagree that he's in our best RWC squad just that he's a liability. He has brain snaps way too easily. As I said, could've been carded yesterday but saved by an inconsistent TMO. What he brings over that 2nd tier of locks isn't worth his risk.

His discipline for the Wobs this year has been disappointing, but an outlier on his career... and I don't actually recall what he should've been carded for on the weekend?

But if he keeps clean over the next year he's a certainty for the RWC squad.

I still have doubts over many of our lock options...

Philip runs too hot and cold and is not the most physical/best defensive player in the group.

Rodda has benefited from not being there.

I'm not sure if Neville will deserve to be there ahead of his Brumby teammates.

It would be nice to see Arnold play not having come back from holidays.

Wright is seemingly undroppable...

And Paisami is very, very lucky that there's no competition for his spot with Kerevi, Foketi and Simone not available.

As others have mentioned I'm not sure throwing another 33yr+ player into the mix is the right decision for the Wallabies long term anyway.

This playing group isn't going to suddenly become better - we will need our best team on deck for the final tour games to at least salvage some reputation. But it'll be interesting what choices are made for the RWC.

He's currently in Indonesia hiking up volcanos so fingers crossed the recovery is going well.....

Viking, I think Carter Gordon will have a good Super Rugby next year and will be one of the group to rebuild our 10 stocks. I also think we have done far less with our 2019 U20's players than the Nth Hemi has.
Just read Rennie's statement and apart from 'it ain't good enough' it is all about players hurting etc etc. F**K them hurting, get them out on the paddock and work their ar**ses off. If you can't put discipline into these guys move aside and let someone who can take over, this is not a time for parenting it is a time to learn what it takes to win test matches.
