Super Rugby Rd 2: Rebels v Hurricanes

Ardie showed his class afterword's know he did the wrong thing & showed up could have easily dodged the interview

Why was Wilkin yellow carded when an hour later still shows the effect of being eye gauged

The Barrett's very good at our game

Carter Gordan is holding his worth

Richard Hardwick may regret playing for Namibia
Fuck this man. Suspend the fluffybunny. Deserves it.

... or aware enough to know his pending Japanese club wouldn't look kindly on that poor form tarnishing their brand or honour ;) (...I jest, but not entirely without truth).
Just ask the Hino Red Dolphins. Their club has suspended the rest of their season after the players ‘damaged’ a bar while drinking

And Ardie just apologised for the gesture after that match, said it was out of character, in the heat of the moment, and especially for the kids watching as they’re trying to clean up the game.
So who was it that called him a f#cken crumb who should be red carded and suspended? Of course he didn't mean it, it was in the heat of the game. Take it for what it was, I'm pretty sure he wasn't literally threatening death.

If he gets suspended I would support that but all I am saying is he know he did the wrong thing. No different from when a player hits someone high & then realises his mistakes.

Its not a good look for our game at all.

2ndly why would he take on the only bloke with roid rage????

Apologising for something done in a game doesn’t mean that action doesn’t warrant a card or suspension. It just demonstrates that the player acknowledges what they did was wrong.

Well, he should be? It's completely not in the spirit of the game. It's a 'game'. A televised one, at that. With children and people paying money for advertising watching.

He won't be banned - but he ought to be.

Even those filthy grubs in loige don't pull that shit.

Hopefully no children hear the players swearing on ground.

Yes, Japan is very big on tatemae. Kobe Steel wouldn't look favourably on him bringing haji to their brand.

yeah I mean, swearing =/= threats of violence
Yep I'm sure he was literally going to pull a knife and do him there on the field. You know when people say things like....."yeah I'd die for him".....they don't actually mean it. It's poetic licence. Ardies gesture got him a yellow. Maybe something was said to him. But outside that don't do it again and move on.

Eh. The ABs do that pseudo hard man garbage every second haka as part of the rotation. Don’t know why this is a shock.

You're carrying on like a bit of a goose here mate

Best game from Gordon in ages. Big questions about Pone's conditioning. He was cooked after 25 minutes. That said, some of that late helter skelter footy had both teams covering the full length of the ground at pace, and blokes were cramping up everywhere.

Dane Coles is a grub but you'd love to have him play for you.

Great game and atmosphere. Shame we didn't get the bickies but a very enjoyable evening down at the precinct.

I see the action for what it was. In the heat of the moment. He apologised. Many on here want to see him suspended and carry on like he carried out a criminal act. Tim Horan and Stan sports carrying on and running polls about this smack of Australia doing anything they can to get one over on NZ rugby. If you think that's the worst thing you've seen today you're living in a very sanitised world.

Sad that one of the best games I’ve attended in a while was a loss. But great atmosphere. Reminded me of like 2013 helter skelter days.

our forward pack was demolished in the first half. Pone really shored things up. Eloff needs to come back too. Gibbon is too small.

Amazed the Rebels had a chance at all, Hurricanes should’ve put us to the sword. They were making metres at will.

I’m yet to see if he’s anything more than a super player but I thought this was Ili’s best game so far.
