MASSIVE news for the joeys boys that are competing this weekend in the 5th XV vs Shore with the promising star Sam Andrew out with a cankle problem, however the depth in the shore rugby program is very strong and there will be a promotion for TOM DUDDY from the 6th XV to pack the scrums down this weekend - Good Luck to the gents that are participating in this block buster this weekend - 10AM Northbridge A Ground see you all there

yours sincerely

Have you got a match report on either these games above?

Re: Final Game at BH - the whole Scots Centenary Year was primed to that day in September 1993. Indeed the draw needed to swap for 2 years between the 2 schools so they could have their respective 93-94 "grand finals" at their home ground. The pressure on both teams would have been immense. SJC winning all the previous 1st XV comps since TSC 87 shooting for 6 in a row and TSC needing the win to ice their Centenary Year. I even remember the 'Dial a Dump' parachute's landing at half time on TSC Main. What a day :)

Tom Yassmin might just end up being the first GPS rugby player to make it in the NFL.
Link below to a feature on him earlier this year just before he played in the Rosebowl.
Colin Scotts (Scots College) 3rd round pick 1987 Draft to St Louis. Played in 7 games.

https://www.si.com/college/utah/foo...ssmin-will-return-to-utah-for-the-2023-season going back to College for his final year. Should get good game time with the guy in front of him having been drafted in the 1st round in the draft just gone.

Colin Scotts made the NFL back in the 80's and early 90's.
Yes, him then Thomas will be the 2nd ever player to do this. Thomas was an outstanding player for Scots in his time also his brother was a great player winning premiships for the school. Coming from Lebanese descent Thomas’s brother has actually represented Lebanon in a couple trial matches last year.

I believe the third player will to Make the big leagues in America will be ‘Adney Reid’ he’s currently in kings 3rd Xv and commited to BYU. Adney has moved from Utah with his family apart of their church.

after watching some of Adneys games you can tell in just the way he runs he comes from a Gridiron background, at most schools I could see him playing 2nds maybe even pushing firsts but the depth king’s currently displays it’s a outstanding effort from himself to be in the thirds.

I think his boy is now back (or very recently) at the College.
Yes, I almost taught him at Scots.

Funny story....when he was introduced to me in 2009 I told him I had met him years before.
When he asked, I replied...."at Joeys in 1981"
He simply turned around and left the classroom with the Prep Headmaster muttering something, "f$#king Joeys boys"
It was not a surprise that I did not get his son in my class.

I am a bit younger so I wasn't there but I have come across a few members of the '81 Scots team in my professional life. They mostly haven't gotten over it yet.

Sorry mate. The tipping comp closed last week. Feel free to lobby me if you like. I am in a generous mood.
Please though continue to share your thoughts on the round ahead.
