The Front Rower

Harry Harrington. Imposing front rower, played no8 for Brumbies U16 last year.
Ahead of him is some good talent in Cooper Guerin who played 1sts on weekend and scored a try. Cooper also played Harold Matthews Cup for the roosters. Also is Joel Jacobs who played Harold Matts Cup for the roosters and has played in various gen blue teams. So, plenty of talent in the front row. Throw in the new kid Duddy who I think played NSW Under 16 last year.

@ItsNotPink - this guy @JoeysBoy1982 is obviously an impostor, imagine mistaking cerise for pink. I bet he couldn't even find the front door of Jack's at 4.30pm on a home game Saturday.
Agree AroundTheAnkles and thanks for calling it out.
Clearly an imposter! Pink indeed. He would probably turn up at Jacks and try to order a schooner of boutique low carb lager instead of the mandatory can of real local beer.
CERISE.
It's Not Pink.

Not sure if you would consider this one an upset, although I believe Riverview have a real chance to give a crack at TKS. Arrogance during the game seems to be a bit of a trend for the Kings boys and could prove to be a bit of an issue against a fair and composed side like the view boys.

On a more particular note, The centre combo for Kings might find themselves in a bit of a predicament if they bring this same kind of attitude whilst running the ball at Riverview inside centre (Will Hayes). A true monster on defence.
I second this, the front row at view this year are looking extremely promising, number 3 (Joe Dillon) has been having huge games defensively and may prove as a staunch speed bump for the TKS front row. There has been talk that he loves a cheeky meat pie as well, will be keeping my eyes peeled for this one.

Will wait and see if Kings will be arrogant on Sat. Thats a bit harsh saying that‍♂️

Another aspect of the institution and culture of the King's School that has really impressed me is the development of their lower grades. Last week they not only beat Newington in all competition teams, but they also had their social team, I believe they are known as the Serpents, beat Knox at 8am, on Knox main oval. I was able to see part of their game on YouTube, and honestly, it was some great footy. Cross-Field kicks, impeccable line-outs, I was genuinely surprised with how entertaining the game was, definitely worth a watch.

You can really tell its just a bunch of mates who love the game. Really good to see. Great Stuff!

Yep scots has serious depth in the coming years in the front row positions , will be tough call next year for the coaches betwee Joel jacobs, cooper and footy. Each player has their positives as footy has a 11.8 100m , 160kg bench press and 185kg squat , while joel jacobs during roosters sesson got a 4.40 bronco while being 125kg. Good flock

New boy to the school and fitness, coaches underestimated him. Selectors have said he could be the next tanelia topou.
Sounds like he just needs to get some game time for Scots and he will move up each week, Also bear in mind you can only pick 15 kids in the 1stXV, look at Kings they have some cracking players who are in there 2nds, and if at any other school would be a 1stXV player.

Forwards depth at TKS this year is amazing across top three teams, backs less so. Luckily forwards win games ;) Falls off a cliff next year though creating a focus on maximizing this years premiership chances for the top three grades. Going to be a great game in 1's - looking forward (optimistically) to TKS hitting their straps for the entire game, otherwise View a genuine chance to finish over the top of them..

The value of such good depth is becoming evident this season already, with injury and sickness having a seemingly minimal effect on kings thus far. Will be interesting to see how the longer season plays out for everyone, especially for schools with not as much depth as some others.

Both backs and fwds depth this year is huge at Kings. Full of talents I feel for the coaches esp the 1s who to select. But its a good thing for them so all the players put their best foot fwd every Sat otherwise he will be dropped. Soooo looking fwd to the top of the table game of the round.

Lepale, whilst you have a good point, you may be severely underestimating the View side for this weeks clash. Depth may be a certain factor, but team gel and chemistry plays a significant role in Views play-style, arguably, this may be the deciding factor. Depth vs Chemistry.
Players like Joe Dillon (3) and Liam Hayes (12) are playing extremely well, they will inevitably be a major step in the way of TKS.

BREAKING! From what I've heard out of the Riverview camp is that Angus Phillips and Daniel Saunders, 1st XV, had a nasty collision at training on Tuesday, similar to the one on the weekend that resulted in two concussions for the No. 4 and No. 7 for View, leaving replacements Will Hodge and Angus McCaffrey to take the field in the blue and white. Wonder how this will impact the mindset of Kings going into a game against a battered and bruised side. However, if there is one thing that I know it's the View boys won't die wondering and will be keen to put one back on Kings after the trial similar to R1 2022.

I meant to say what happened in View 2's however devastating new regardless.
