As well as that percentage wise, view manage to pull 35-45% of the senior school to away games. Compared to kings 25-30% at home games.
The passion from Riverview this year has been immaculate. Managed to get down to the Scots game and the energy from the schoolboys was impressive. Definitely can expect a big crowd to match joeys this week.

Heard news of more devastating injuries within Riverview camp to the loose forwards especially. Gonna be a long year, seems like theyre cursed. However, I believe this is some of the best rugby they have put on display in years. Players like William Hayes, Benji Noble and Patrick Spora have been standouts for me and look like they have risen to the occasion.
Will be very interesting to see this result at Leichardt on the weekend, as no matter how poor the Joe boys may look they will always lift when it comes to Riverview week.

The shame about your photo it doesn’t show that view has more boys there. Yes you had some good support but that would be about 20% of the school. If it was joeys - they fill the entire stand
Joeys has 1000 students (smallest in the AAGPS)
View has 1800

The argument of school culture does make me laugh.

joeys have the largest crowds the reason being they are forced to go. No doubt they would still attract big crowds but you can’t compare schools like kings and view to joeys due to the fact that not even all home games are compulsory for the school.

view this year have been great in attendance at home and away games and it should be noted, great job boys !

kings have crowds no matter home or away, the boys are doing a great job and so is the war cry captain for this year who is also a elite cricket player. I believe the school took the foot of the petal and the view boys were hoping to cause an upset so the school and the boys published the attendance and seemed to almost catch kings out.

It was a poor decision to pull the 10 imho. The change that occurred was that the forwards stepped up and created momentum. unfortunately 12 has been an issue and they really need OJ back. Also missing 2 Young gave Newington inside backs too much room to run through that channel. So the changes I would make? Get the Lourdes water out and bring back OJ , Young and Doyle…. That probably isn’t possible so they will make other changes.
Pat Young must have used all the Lourdes water. He is back this week well ahead of schedule.

Jorgo still in a moon boot and Doyle is back running this week - but those two 105kg boys still won’t be back till round 7.

Changes at 10/12 for Joeys this week as well from all reports.

My Top 5 AAGPS Premiers teams in the past decade - mostly based on the teams I enjoyed watching:

1. 2014 Scots, as previously mentioned undefeated over 10 games, line break city, remember watching them tear apart Riverview (to my demise), a lot league boys in the team meant for some crazy offloads.
Notable Players: Angus Crichton (Roosters/Kangaroo), Guy Porter (Leicester Tigers/ 4 England Caps), Toby Rudolph (Sharks)

2. 2020 Kings, Dominant, Strong, Quick, boy where they good.
Notable Players: Will Penisini (Eels/Tonga International), Teddy Wilson (Waratahs/U20 Wallabies), Sua'ali'i’i (Roosters/Waratahs/Samoa International)

3. 2018 Joeys, A very underrated team in this list, whilst they may not have the notable players, they clicked like no team I have seen do before. There precision in every game was second to none, there ability to stay in a game, claw there way back (against Riverview and Scots), astonishing. Such an aggressive but poised team. They have set a Joeys mentality precedent for years to come.

4. 2022 Joeys, This team will be talked about for years to come, and will only age better and better, very similar to 2018 Joeys, they clicked, and with arguably the best schoolboy player in the last 10 years at their helm in Max Jorgensen, they were unplayable (or may just be some recency bias) . Max (Waratahs/Wallabies), Hiwi Sharples, Jack Barrett (U20 Wallabies), Ronan Leahy (U20 Wallabies), Joey Fowler (U20 Wallabies) - an all-star lineup, who all have potential to be special future Super Rugby players and even Wallabies.

5. 2015 NC, Remember watching this team and thinking, gee that Cameron Murray is good, whilst he did carry the team slightly, very fast and hard carrying, took them to the title.
Notable Players: Cam Murray (Rabbitohs/Australia), Bailey Simonsson (Eels), Bailey Kuenzle (Stud at the Brumbies - Currently Force)

*Honourable Mention

2021 Riverview - A deadly 9/10/12 combo. Dan Nelson (U20 Wallabies/G1 Syd Uni), Jack Bowen (U20 Wallabies/Waratahs/G1 Easts), Henry O'Donnell (U20 Wallabies/G1 Norths) - All of which are in Waratahs Academy.

Any discourse will be great, tell me what you would change.
Batman, were you around to see the Riverview 96 team? They were pretty good.

Nope, View has a little over 1350 students year 7 to12, not 1800. Wikipedia (so who knows?), says Joeys caters for 2,000 boys year 7 to 12.

I've heard that the View vs Joeys game this weekend has 9000 tickets bought/registered as of yesterday. I wonder what the final attendance will be on Saturday.

Quick look around the grounds this weekend, Newington vs Shore 16s is shaping up to be a good matchup in A and B comp. As game will be a good look for selectors with both teams lacking representation in predicted GPS sides, in the Bs both teams have had a few losses in a row and should both be thinking they should win, expect to see high tensions and a great weekend of footy.
