There is merit but he’s always been a limited footballer and there hasn’t appeared to be much improvement in the last 5 plus years beyond his physical capabilities.

An effective but limited Super Rugby player seems to be his ceiling.
They are all limited footballers, ie play Tane @ 12 and we have no attacking threat in that channel

Don't make me re live the Halangahu, Barnes combo. It has no threat.

If the argument is made you need kicking, you should be looking towards the 15 and Jorgo has a pretty good boot that will only get better.

The '2nd Five' or the "Direct Runner' argument gets made depending on who one has on your team at any particular time.

I'm pretty sure I've argued passionately for both over the years.

I'm not above arguing for left or right-side players (like league) if the situation calls for it :)

I think we will do the same as this year, our two ball players will be 9 & 10

With Gordon running the short stuff and the flat ball to a wider runner on the edge trying to get quick front foot ball over the advantage line - with the 10 then playing in behind looking for opportunities

Our real threat looks to be the edge with our back tree, so I would like to see unselfish centres selected who give our wingers and 15 space and support hard

Will be good to have centres who can run a nice line then, and run it well. I'd put Perese in that camp, with leg speed and some evasion

when does Lee-Warner blow into town? Currently still playing for Bath. Will he be in Sydney for the start of the season?

No better pre season than playing meaningful footy.

I'm sure there is a date on it. Not sure how Bath are going re getting guys back from the WC if any but they may wait to release until they get squad depth back.

What he is referring to here is a pay packet commensurate with his ability.
I guess a lot of Wallabies are thinking if RA is going to pay overs for JS to come over, ”Why am I only on ‘X’ much”? Fair call. Well done Hamish.
