Wow, 14 offensive players make up the first 14 picks. 5 of the top 10 are quarterbacks.
I guess the NFL hasn’t had its Moneyball moment.

They must be. The previous record of consecutive top picks for offensive players was 7.What do you mean?
QBs, WRs (particularly the three generational WRs taken early) and OTs are three premium positions.

Loved Phenix in college, playing on a dynamite Washington team. His age and college experience would suggest he is a win-now type of a guy, but his lefty throwing action is not NFL-ready. I might be the only person who believes Atlanta is a great spot for him; young team, building towards a bright future.Daniels is the same age as Penix.
I tend to think Penix is more ready to win now than Daniels. The ceiling for both is basically reached and it’s very strange by Atlanta after signing Cousins.
It’s not the greatest QB class. It’s just teams need them so they get hyped up. McCarthy will do nothing for the Vikings. 7,8 wins at most but I get teams want a win now guy as your best chance is to win in the rookie contract and then hold them.
I don’t follow this stuff closely enough to know why next year is a stinker. 12 months is such a long time for teenagers who will grow so much both physically and mentally. Is that really enough of a justification for a feeding frenzy this year especially when several of the QBs have very extensive injury histories?
