Agreed. I thought Greg's would put in a better show than that.

The Kinross Pius game looks like it was pretty good. Anyone got a report?
Pius didn’t turn up. 1sts and 2nds both were ill disciplined and not catering to the referees whistle which put them on the back foot. Pius 1sts played arguably their worst performance this season but enough to come up with the points and the W with 3 on the trot. Looking for 4 against Stannies at Oxford Falls this week.

Standouts in 1’s:
Alfie Wragge (4)
Charlie Woolf (7)
Kobi Mendel (12)

Hi all, just catching up on the feed now. Was at Kinross on the weekend to see them take on Pius. I notice there was a previous conversation about the Pius goal kicker being their prop and he wasn't very good. He kicked again on the weekend and still wasn't very good. Watching the rest of his game, I assumed he was there for his goal kicking because he was ordinary. He threw the lineouts as well (if that's what you can call them). Can their hooker not throw lineouts? Surely they have another option to kick?
You might want to reconsider this post. Having a crack at individual players is poor form.

Just watched the Kinross livestream against Pius, and Pius number 3 was great in my opinion aside from the goal kicks. Attended Pius's game against the Pats a couple of weeks ago and he nailed 7/7 conversions, probably just had a bad kicking day.

View attachment 21995Oakhill v Stannies score was expected, it looks like Pius didn't turn up against Kinross, and there was an unexpected result from Gregs, thought they would be more competitive
I was lucky but also unlucky to view this match over the weekend. Gregs had lots and lots of players out, with almost the entire bench being deb plus starters being debs. Yes the game might not went there way and full credit to Auggies they are really good but, Gregs never gave up and they kept fighting and playing as hard as they could the whole match. Yes the scoreboard might not of went Gregs way but in my eyes they got up on the mental side of the game. Sadly I wont be able to watch there match vs pats coming up as im heading to the captial to watch the brumbies on friday night.

Hearing a lot of hate about the way Pius played, sure, they may not have been on their A game that day, but just watching the first 20 minutes of that game, the ref could have been counted as the 16th man every chance he had to blow the whistle for kinross he did, 2 times pius made a clear clean steal but he blew the whistle for pius being "offisde" 3 minutes before that, that's honestyforforums opinion.

Hey all, new here. I have to agree with honestyforforums here, in watching the live stream the ref and touchy (a Kinross student who wouldnt have been older than 15 and easily influenced by the crowd) was completely bias towards the boys from Orange. With the ISA now becoming almost the 'second' rugby competition now competing with CAS this needs to be eradicated, should be 3 NSW referees officiating each game (2 touchies). Some of the high contact and overall dirty play done by the kinross boys (#8 and #5 especially) was totally unacceptable. I see from other messages on the forum it is to be expected in these country venues for the officiating to be subpar but hopefully this can be improved.

It was a joke. Imagine a GPS 1st XV game between say, Joeys & Riverview, where the touch judge is a 15 year old in school uniform. Would never happen. The kid even called a forward pass against Pius at one stage. These out of town mobs get away with it because they never get pulled up.

hey group, Just wondering do many people know much about St Pats? Doesnt seem to be much chat. Talk amongst a few old boys to come out and watch oak hill vs Gregs in coming weeks. Will be a good game.

Yes, st pats are scared cats that don't want any smoke. Typical little man behaviour from this school.

Round 5 Predictions:

Some big match ups this week!

Oakhill V Auggies @ Damien Oval
A HUGE game this week. Home ground advantage to weigh in on this match but I still think Auggies go into this game as favourites. Not to say that Oaks wont give them a work out - it will be tight. But Auggies seem to be continuing on with their dominance this year and I dont see it changing this weekend. Auggies by 5
Program Result - Things are really tight here! These two school are so evenly matched, I think it will be only one game that will swing it. I suspect oakhill 14s may have the upper hand but all games are a coin toss. Oakhill to take the day by one game only.

Pius v Stannies @ Chaplin Oval
Despite a reported wobbly game against Kinross last week, I feel Pius will cotninue on their merry way with a win against Stannies. Hoping that their fields recover in time for some good running Rugby. Pius by 10
Program Result: Things are much closer here. Pius have dominance in the older age groups but Stannies are doing well in the Juniors. It's going to be really tight but predict Stannies by 2 games

Pats v Gregs @ Breen Oval
Another very tight game at Strathfield this weekend. I dont think last week's rersult againt Auggies is reflective of Gregs ability but Pats are showing more fight than predicted. It's going to be super close. My blue black gold blood wont let me tip otherwise but it will be tight. Pats by 3
Program Result: Again, very close across the board. Predict wins for Pats 14s and 16s but everything else will be a nail biter. Pats by one game

Spot on DaSchmooze, will be interesting to see a smaller Gregs and Oakhill pack going up against a much larger Pats and Augustine sides. I predict very close games in every fixture

Oakhill will need to brawl it out with Auggies. Both teams like to chuck it around and it will suit Auggies if Oakhill tries to match them. If Oakhill can match them in the set piece and be dominant in their first up tackles, it will halt Auggies momentum and make for an intriguing game.

Pats forward pack arent big but they about as well drilled as I have seen them in a long time. I think in terms of size, both packs will be similiar. it will come down to who can retain the ball at ruck time i reckon.
