ISA 2025

Agree, the senior team comp should be terrific. I think you might get a surprise in the lower age groups if you think all the CAS younger teams aren't particularly strong.
Yeah sorry - excluding Waverley! Between them Oakhill and Augustine's the best quasi rugby nursery (based on leaguies) in Australia

Hey mate, based on the leaguies I think we all know where the best nursery for them are out of everyone in the CAS, ISA and GPS rugby comps. Out west at the hill.

Bitods, I think using the league boys as the reason why some schools are strong at Union is a stretch.

A lot of schools these days have league players, yet not all teams are strong or perform well.

I agree sometimes they do really make a difference, but I also couldn't tell you you how many times I have seen a leaguie bomb a try by being selfish with the ball. Sometimes it appears as though they think " it's mine and all mine", and they refuse to pass to an unmarked player on the outside, it does my head in.

The strength of a team/school, imo, typically, is based on the quality of coaching throughout the ages, along with the fact that some schools have more of an historical rugby DNA than others, thus talented boys/parents gravitate to them.

Many of us are really looking forward to the new CAS/ISA comp at the end of the season.

Best WLF.

Here is a predicted ISA 1s Team, let me know if you would change anything?
1. Ethan Fulton
2. James Kenna
3. ?
4. Casey Bray
5. Gary Robert’s
6. Selestino Mainakavika
7. Oscar Cleary
8. Noah Rylands
9. Geros/Farrel
10. Jack Colley
11. Max Gioello
12. Preston Smallwood
13. Cyrus Bloomfield
14. Oliver Metcalf
15. Beau Alexander

It’s very mixed with Augs and Oakhill along with Greg’s and Stannies
No Pius or Pats players?

Heard a lot of talk about their number 12 and winger who seem very promising. Based off the few games that have been posted online, Pius' front row seems very solid, all 3 of them have a great work rate and physical presence, especially their number 3 who made ISA 1s last year. Would be great to have a couple of them in the team sheets for the size and experience advantages.

Couldn't agree more, after watching them play against Oakhill, where they held their own, their front row are strong, physical but most importantly just super skilled. Either three of them have the ability to make ISA 1s. In regard to their number 12 if he is not picked for inside centre in the ISA 1s team I believe that will be a huge loss.

Cheers and agree wholeheartedly. I have been a long term fan of Oakhill and Augustine's junior programs and while less familiar with Waverley have seen their juniors pump Kings consistently in recent years.
