St Augustine's continue their outstanding run. Scots are supposed to be challenging for the GPS title again and have a huge number of GPS, JGS rep players who are skilled, hard players so I don't understand this result at all. How did Horwitz, Stewart and Kellaway go against their Auggies opponents?
Surely there was somebody at the game who will break the deafening silence and provide a match report?

Don't expect any report soon. Auggies people very rarely post and I think Scots will just want to forget the whole thing happening

Saints have put these sort of scores on everyone they have played this year, including christchurch boys high and south-lands boys high on a recent NZ tour. Their forward pack are strong, mobile and highly skilled from 1 to 8 who consistently get past the gain line to provide quick clean ball to a back line made up of 5 year 11 players who are only going to improve.
The only notable absentee was jim stewart for scots, but hard to see what difference he would have made in a totally one sided forwards battle. Scots created 1 try scoring opportunity in the whole game while saints should have probably scored 3 more.
Hard to see how any one will get near augustines this year if trial results are any thing to go by. If you want to be considered the best your have to beat augustines!!

Joeys looked very good yesterday against a strong Oakhill side. Down 10-0 and with captain Tom Murphy sin binned they showed huge strength in their defence and kept Oakhill out. 38-10 in the end and very good game to watch. Standouts for Joeys were 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15

Correct me if I'm wrong but stand out players are meant to 'stand out' from the rest of the team. So how can the whole team stand out?

Firstly can I say, St Josephs college, you are a class act.

For those who weren't there today one of the Oakhill boys younger cousin is a critically ill young man who may never experience the thrill of running down a rugby tunnel. The Oakhill boys were led out by the young lad and the Joeys boys lined up to clap him out and then shake his hand. I'm sure this is a thrill for him and his family and everyone from Oakhill is deeply appreciative of the kindness and respect you showed towards this young man.
Absolutely agrees with you, Stonecutter. Hundreds of Joey students ranging in all ages singing You Will Never Walk Alone in honour of the little guy who doesn't even go to their school for 2 mins then sending him 3 cheers was incredible. Class act, I agree.

Scots will be ready. This weekend we start by belting joeys again. beating a light weight isa side is nothing special.

Milne & Moeroa

I'm interested in hearing how the above mentioned 'Dual Codies' are performing for Newington, can anyone elaborate?

I'm particularly interested in Milne. He had a great SG Ball season for the Roosters and for mine is a dark horse to make the NSWRL U/18's which play the curtain raiser before State of Origin II. No mean feat for an U/17.

I would also like to hear how their centre partnership is fairing. IMO it is one partnership that has the potential to progress to a NSW I and even Australian Schoolboy level.

Newbie

Will be an interesting clash in this weekend's trial between New's Moeroa and Kings Foketi. ( From what I saw of Milne last year he had a few defensive issues that needed addressing)
