mm who knows, we'll soon find out. Interesting how late Terrace decides to make changes to their team. Thought their confidence would've been shot after a season as appalling as last.

my predictions for tomorrows games
IGS v BBC -BBC by 7, will be a high scoring game from both sides, i expect most tries from IGS to come from their dominant forwards but when BBC do get the ball wide do expect to see some tries
NC v BSHS- NC by 30, BSHS really lack everything this year and i don't see them competing much
GT v ACGS- ACGS by 25, just basically better than terrace in most areas except for tight five, however the churchie back row is quite a lot better than terrace's, expecting to see a tight competition between Dalgleish and Easton even though Easton will probably be playing 9. the wingers however will definitely struggle against Ioane and Schafer (heard west has hamstring injury)
BGS v Downlands- BGS by 12
TGS v TSS- TGS, only basing this on the number of TGS players selected in the GPS teams​

IGS vs BBC - BBC's backline and revamped forward pack to run all over IGS, BBC by 14.
NC vs BSHS - Nudgee by at least 2 tries, pretty straightforward.
GT vs ACGS - The anglican's by 10, the catholics won't be too flashy in their first trial of the year.
BGS vs Downlands - Downlands by 3
TGS vs TSS - TGS by a try

Just watched the first two thirds of ACGS vGT this afternoon and it was nil all. I know both sides were not at full strength. Short version of match report - I thought GT were winning the contact in the forwards but ACGS were very slick as expected in the backs. ACGS attacked the GT line many times but could not crack defence that was hanging on by fingernails. GT only had one opportunity to attack but did not look like they would trouble scorer. Only a trial but I do not think was going as ACGS expected and GT will not be as soft as last year. Actually the whole GT programme seems better than last year. I heard they won 13A and B, 14A and B, 16A and 2nd XV and drew 16b. Do not know of u15 results. Still only trials but last year in corresponding trial the school was belted in all age groups

The first XV game was divided into 4 quarters. The score was 0-0 by the end of the third quarter. Terrace had a try disallowed and churchie managed to score to win 5-0 in the last couple of minutes. Looks like ACGS are a bit overatted if you ask me, dominated in the forwards by Terrace and only just better in the backs.

yeah i agree with the above, good luck with your premiership goals in 2012, terrace (predicted last this season by many) fell down by only 5 points...
id be seriously trying to revamp my acgs team if i were the coach

You Terrace students on here are not doing your school any favours; talking up your own teams narrow loss as a win of soughts against a team missing much of its fire power.
And as a matter of fact, Churchies centenary is going alright from what I have heard:
-5th Swimming
-1st Cricket
-2nd or 3rd in volleyball, not too sure
-1st Rowing
-1st Debating (still counts)
-a likely top 3 finish in soccer
-1st cross country

Let me remind you that it is a trial; the whole point of this is to pick the best team for the season, not field it during a trial.
So who played well, and did Nigel Tunevusa (or whatever it is) play?

Also, I am not a student of GT just went to watch. It was a clash of two teams both with numerous injuries. GT was also missing 3/4 key players.
It was supposed to be the 8th team playing the 2nd/1st so this can be considered a win in my books.

i love the assumptions, 'terrace students' - neither adjectives of which describe my background. Well done.
and the centenary was supposed to be a 'clean sweep' without losses, alas you can call it a failure

I am very far from being a student and stated it was a trial with both sides not fielding best teams. My thoughts early pre season was that Churchie would be a mile in front with such an impressive playing list and depth of talent. No teams should be getting close. I have now seen them play the Suncorp games and Terrace trial and Churchie just don't seem to be executing anywhere near what I expected.

This can only be putting pressure on the Churchie programme and I now think the premiership race is very wide open. It may make it one of the most interesting seasons for a long time.

On another note, it seems returning back to the Tennyson playing fields and a review of the sports programmes may be paying early dividends for the school.

I was just alluding to the fact that winning the GPS cup in a centenary year would be considered a succesfull centenary, and as for the rugby, Churchie are premiership favourites because everyone knows the depth and tallent that they had pre-season, which they clearly haven't capitalised on thus far, and Terrace were considered wooden spooners because of their U16's season last year and the general lack of knowledge of the talent that they clearly possess. So considering this there is definetely the possibility that Terrace are underated, but besides that Churchie are still my premieship favourites. I think I have gone off track their but you get my point.

Churchie has not failed yet, as they have not loss a single game yet this year, so how can it be a failure?
