Qld Premier Rugby 2012 Tipping Comp

Pauly is making a late run and moved 2 points closer to you ECA but you still hold a 3 point lead so you would have to stuff up bigtime with only 4 games left for the year.

A few of us managed to get the 5 points this week with most of the tigers faithful going for the Easts and Wests wins and that resulting in their downfall.

Now I remember why everyone hates the Filth. I tip them to cause an upset, in the hope of really pissing off the very pretty East Coast Aces, and their 7 gets sent off in the first minute! Filthy filthy filthy Filth ..... Anyway, congratulations to Uni on making another grand final. I anticipate Sunnybank will piss all over Brothers next week and set up a classic GF.

To rub salt into the wounds Pauly, I forgot to put my tips in. If you had of tipped the favorites you would be a chance of winning outright. Now your only a mathematical chance of equal champion.

NOOOOOO! It was bad enough that my devious plan backfired, but that's just cruel ECA, playing with my hopes like ..... like ..... like Easts do.

Did you not read in the rules that finals are worth 3 points and if you don't tip the finals you can't win the prize?

All good but it is a 2 horse race with Pauly in with a chance to share the spoils with ECA. Lucky you could both fit into the prize at the same time.

"Go the Tigers" was often my undoing in this tipping competition, however, well done to East Coast Aces on a fine year of tipping in a highly competitive, often unpredictable and sometimes baffling season of Premier Rugby. The cream has now risen to the top and Sunday's game is bound to be a memorable clash of two exceptionally good teams.

ECA if I see you arrive at Bottomley in your G&GR car next season I will come and shake your hand but in the meantime I'll say congratulations on your win. Your fine tipping form kept us all on our toes all season.

I'd also like to sincerely thank the ever-reliable and diligent Jets for making this tipping comp available to us and ensuring that the Premier competition was always in the forefront of our thoughts each week. I know I got to more games this year than I have in the past twenty years and it was a very different experience for me to actually give a toss about who won, for example, a Norths v Sunny Coast game! Well done JETS!!!

So it's all over for 2012 and a big congratulations to East Coast Aces for taking out the title. It would have been unfair for anyone else to take it out as ECA's lead pretty much from week one.

I appreciate the thanks guys but I'm just trying t do my bit to promote Premier Rugby and club rugby in general. We had 42 different people tip this year so hopefully we can get that many regulars next year.

I will be in touch with ECA soon to arrange delivery of the prize and will post a pic as soon as I finalise it.
