I don't think any rugby games have ever been particularly good.

Soccer, gridiron and basketball are about the only sports games that work well in my opinion.

Most people live somewhere towards their means. Presumably he owns property and has mortgage(s). I doubt he lives a student lifestyle and lives in a cheap sharehouse and eats 2 minute noodles.

Yeah you're right. 500K will become 460k.

Make that less because if it's grossed out by the employer it's effectively less he's paying tax on as well.

I am sure he'll be at the bank with red eyes and a hat in his hand about now. All his endorsement deals canl't possiblyu help to make up for it either.

He must be destitute. :rolleyes:

The financial penalty is pretty significant. Yes he earns a big wage but the fine is something like 5% of his annual salary.

It would be like the Average Joe being hit with a $3000 fine.

I've just been trying to figure out if there has been a bigger fine levied in rugby against an individual?

Mike Tindall copped 25,000 pounds a year ago for dwarf throwing and slutting around at the world cup while his royal wife was at home. (It was later reduced to 15,000 pounds on appeal).

At the exchange rate then he was initially up for $39,237 Australian.

those figures don't take into account the relative wages of the individuals, Coopers was a tough fine. Assuming he is on the $600k rumored, that is a months wages. Ferdinand's was less that a weeks

It should be pointed out for those that don't know that Micky Arison owns the Miami Heat.

The Quade Cooper fine is substantial however you look at it.

Appropriate? No.

But it has served it's purpose. Everyone's been duped by the ARU. Poor Quadey. Stale bread and potatoes for him.

he is too good a player to be kicked out completely, you just don't do that

I struggle to see how an organisation that fights popular opinion and gives Nucifora key roles would push their CEO out over a player's opinion.

The Robbie point I'd back.

If there was ever any chance that Robbie was going to be sacked before the EOYT, Quade's comments killed it. No self-respecting CEO would have wanted to give the impression he'd sacked the coach under those circumstances. If Quade pushed Robbie anywhere, it was into the Lions tour.
