How could he have contacted him? No players should've been told their fate before their matches on the weekend. The Reds game finished at 5am AEST.

From Lutton's article

That's not a flipside! The offloads are part of the problem, he hates contact and doesn't like dying with the ball. He offloads the ball in bad situations and puts pressure on his team mates.

Dangerous entering the realms of the Quade Brigade, qwerty. haha.

But have you not at all seen his recent games? He takes the ball into contact every time these days. Non of the stupid offload stuff unless he sees an opportunity to pull it off and create space. To say otherwise shows you are either not watching the games or are deliberately ignoring his efforts.

I ask again, if this is an issue, why has deans picked him in the past?

Don't worry I'm still young and have enough anger to go around.

The idea that Taps was suffering inside of QC (Quade Cooper) because of anything QC (Quade Cooper) was doing is complete and utter rubbish. CFS has been thriving inside QC (Quade Cooper) as of recent weeks, playing one channel wider. To me this is nothing but a damning testament to the fact that Deans cannot analyze the game well enough or with enough neutrality to derive conclusions from his analysis which actually match up with reality. <Insert sentence here with choice use of the term 'sheep shagger' which forever calls into question my objectivity on ever article I will every write henceforth>

By phone.

From Cully's article:

Deans watched the rest of the game, brought Liam Gill and Saia Fainga'a into his squad to replace George Smith and Tatafu Polota Nau, and not long afterwards started hitting the phones to South Africa to let the unlucky know of their fates.

If that is correct, I would imagine that he would of only called people that have been dropped after making original training squad, surely he is not going to ring every player in Reds team that missed out!!

Drew Mitchell was not in the logistics squad and allegedly received a phone call informing him he was not in the 25 for the Lions.

So this theory just got thrown out the window.

Not to mention that A Finger has been looking good too.

I've got more problem with our starting hooker leading the stats than a fly half would can be isolated.

Haven't read the whole thread so not sure if it's been said before but, surely Quade's playing style wasn't so debilitating to Taps that it kept him out of the Wallabies in the first place. To me, Quade helps make those around him look good as he sets them up with this passing etc. It's weird logic that won't be going down well within the Reds, at least.

I like that on the second attempt Quade even tells Reg which way he's going to go. I wouldn't have gotten close but. Not only that, but I probably would've broken something trying. ;)
