I'm not totally convinced BBC have the depth.
Wait till one of the backline stars gets injured.
A Champion team will always beat a team of Champions.
For eg. QLD state of origin team.

For BBC this wee-Conrad quick out with an shoulder injury for 3 weeks
Tiaan Wilkins out for 1 weeks with a chest injury

Taipan--take the curse off!!!!

Interesting comparison between BBC v TGS in the final round last year and in the first round this year, particularly in the U13s and 14's

I managed to watch this game, and thought that BGS were going to get up. Somehow, the yellow card to Mafi was the spark for Nudgee. From that moment, the remaining forwards came alive and started smashing. It was like watching smoldering ashes become raging fire, especially as BGS tired. Good come from behind victory.

Conditions were pretty windy and game never really came alive - BGS looked the better team and NC lucky to come away with it. Gotta love the BGS 12 - he is a big boy.... shame he didn't get more touches with a bit of space... BGS 15 too was impressive.

30 players in under 13 to under 16 have been training with Phillpotts since February. Ditto for 30 players in open with Barker and White. also seen at traing Rapp(Aussie Schoolboys/ Brick Lazarus etc) But 1 round does not test your depth.

TSS v IGS - TSS by 10
Boys from the coast are looking good, at home too.
NC v BBC - NC by 15
Ross Oval is a tough one for any school, let alone BBC.
ACGS v TGS - ACGS by 5
Could go either way. Battle for the spoon IMO. ACGS at home might get them over.
BSHS v BGS - BGS by 12
Who knows what BSHS will do, could be a close one but could also be 30 points difference.

Having taken sunday off to relax and recover from Saturday's result at Carina I have decided not to post a match report or analyse Churchie's performance yet. They are simply nowhere near the side we thought they would be. The loss of MacMillan has made them leader-less and it showed towards the end of the BSHS game. Credit to BSHS, better team on the day, kept the score board ticking over and deserved to win. ACGS need to bounce back or season is effectively over after 2 weeks once again.

I can now announce that in a freak turn of events, BBC's vice captain Nathan Russell (+120kg) who previously played 10, is now playing Hooker. This will put pressure on Mafi. Brilliant tactics by the coach, Barker. I guess we all saw this coming sooner or later.

I thought the BGS 13 was also very impressive. 8. Kemp and 3. McReight stood out in the forward pack.
