Its a shame the Final for the Waratah Shield could not be played on a Saturday as it would be easier for Spectators and families to get out to watch, Instead of trying to get out of work and parents rushing picking kids up and it gives the boys Study Time at School. Just a Thought.
Agree - and the semi also, because, in 2013, the likely NSW protagonists had finished their season (GPS teams don't compete in it a lot and aren't needed.)
I don't know what the timetable for Marist is in any year but if they have already finished their comp games then all four semi-finalists could have competed (in a parallel universe) next Saturday in the 2013 semi-final, and the two finalists competed for the Shield the following Saturday.
In that parallel universe scenario the 2013 Waratah Shield would be completed a few days before it actually will be.
