behindthescenes

Gentile not a 7 - he's a 6 or 8 ( he will make team somewhere but not as 7)
Lancashire & Beverage both injured - don't think either will be available
Gill deserves his spot
Ryan (Ash #6) would be in the mix.

Good picks RugbyChat, but some of the forwards from Pats and or Eddies could give it a go. Also there are better 9's out there, such as the 9 from Villa who was a hard runner and gave great ball to his backs/forwards also the 9 from Peters who gives a good crack to the much bigger boys,

fair call, there has been a few villa 9's throughout this season what game are you specifically talking about so we can identify who it is

9 Stephen Gill (PAD)
10 Jayden Carrol (MCA)
11 Regan Glenn (SPC)
12 Steven Tapitata (SPLC)

Other possible players or Bench Players: Caleyb Williamson (SEC) Dan Robinson (SPC) Seb Fahey (MCA) Ian Filipo (SLC) David Yabsley (IONA)

Just out of curiousity, has any year 10's ever made the AIC 1 side? Tom O'Toole from Padua is in year 10 at the moment if anyone hasn't realised. It would a great acheivement for him if he did make it. Also guys, remember that some Eddies, Pats and Padua players may not choose to play for AIC representative sides due to the fact that they are playing in the Confraternity shield. But I'm not entirely sure if it still clashes with the AIC vs GPS games.

I see Torpy, Harding, & Felu are being put fwds as potential AIC players from Villa. Any other standout performances worthy of consideration?

Don't be surprised if Sankey #5 makes an appearance, very impressive player one of the most under rated players going around. Their captain Carter #6 brother of Eddie who was part of the 2010 premiership team is one of the best players over the ball in the whole comp. Could be two underdogs to snag an AIC jumper

Thanks Newcomer, I forgot about Sankey. How has he performed compared to his locking partner Daley?

Daley has been in good form, a typical old school second rower who gets the job done. Sankey just has better size and has great ball handling skill he can also back up on plays which has gifted him with a few tries this season. To be noted that both are 70 minute players when healthy, great work ethic between the pair

Carter Auld makes come back after his shoulder reconstruction and is expected to make AIC 1? I think I am the first to report this am I wrong? Either way there is an arguable amount of speculation put on the source of these allegations but never the less they have been made.

buddy, cant tell if serious or not but that is rubbish, carter auld even at his best would be struggling to make AIC let alone after only have playing 2 aic games in 2014, lets be honest here...

Eddies 39 pad 24

Eddies on track for an outright premiership now. Padua may have fallen short after a very hot start to the season but they have many positives to build on from this year. They are in a similar position to Eddies last year and the year before and they have learnt from those experiences of disappointment and produced the results this year. Congratulations to Eddies for securing a guaranteed premiership, however an undefeated one is much better than one with losses so they must keep their heads on next week against Villa. Any other scores?

Well done to the Villa boys, I hope they can produce a similar performance next weekend against Eddies and really give it to them. It will be a cracker of a game at Villa Park if they do. Lauries rugby is really in some trouble and I can understand the concern from many old boys and supporters. But congratulations to Villa on those wins against one of their traditional arch rivals.
