Penalty. Yes. Fine. He did it. You can argue about the severity but the fact was he briefly grabbed the leg and raised it. If he didn't they wouldn't have been about to be penalised. But the yellow card for that offence as dangerous play was ridiculous. Lacked intent or carelessness.
I don't disagree. Said so at the time - it was a soft YC

Too many players went MIA tonight. We need to turn up physically and mentally if we want to win back the Bledisloe and bring home Bill at the end of next year. When the going gets tough too many of our players are failing to get going.

Agree with others calling for Phipps and Foley to start as they made a huge difference, Kuridrani to replace McCabe with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) shifting to the wing. Not sure who to keep out of Beale and To'omua as both tried hard tonight and bring a different dynamic to the team. Think fardy has been a little hard done by on here as I thought he at least turned up at the breakdown. Higginbotham did well but he came on when the game was won and played loose, if we want to get guys in to replace our players they need to turn up at the coalface.

Geez lads, firstly, no team is world rugby would come near to the darkness the way they played tonite. secondly, the wobs were competitive but they are still a med to long term project with a young team - thirdly, you wont grow any combination or improve confidence by chopping up your team every week - your expecting too much too soon and win the France series is hardly a great indication they are maturing as a team given the second test of that series. fourth, well its the darkness and lastly, Michael Lynagh stated tonite that Mik Hooper was the Wobs best centre - magnificent player.

How long have we been a "young team". We've been saying this from day 1 of the Dean's era and that was 5-6 years ago. Its time to step up.

What happened to our physicalness? Palu and Fardy struggled to make an impact. I don't get why Carter carries so much when Palu and Fardy are better at it, or there's Slipper and either hooker who are also better.

Simmons was better in his physicalness, but gives away a dumb maul penalty then gets yellow carded (I actually thought that Carter was gone in the same maul - he was just as freaking dumb blatantly coming around the side, along with White too).

Just one of those games, I guess.

Anyone with a little black fuckin fern at the top of their post needs to show some respect and go away right now. Let us mourn in peace without your input damn it. I don't give a rats ass how nice or accurate or encouraging you want to be......bugger off!

That's a cop out, 20 + mill people in Oz, 4 + mill in NZ.
Wallabies need a couple of country hard nuts in the tight five that can dominate, until they do it will be a difficult road.

Pointing at population numbers is a bigger cop out. its like every time this point comes up, I feel like I have to justify it in the face of massive ignorance.

You live here judging by your support of GPS. You understand how big the other codes are, yes? So you shouldn't be ignorant about this. With no FTA presence outside the Wallabies, every single loss is another dagger in rugby's back here. The fairweather fans outnumber the rest of us significantly and that isn't going to change unless they're engaged below national level.

And unless Link starts making the right decisions, its going to continue being shit.

Fuck at this point, just put Phipps-Foley-Beale in the playmaking line and let's see what happens.

I re-call Carter in an interview saying he wants to do more, be more physical, try and take some ball-running load off Palu. He is mentally in the right space but he just doesn't have the strength to make an impact.
