The fact that several senior Waratahs players came out in support of Beale suggests a divide within the team. Surely putting Chieka in would only act to cement this divide and essentially reward the bullshit behaviour of several of these players. If we end up with Chieka as coach, Hooper as captian and Beale in the starting team I will have a breakdown.

There's more to this than a media white-anting. Link doesn't appear to be the kind of guy to go just because the media is being mean to him. I think he has thicker skin than that, and I suspect that he knows something Pulver doesn't, or they both know something the rest of us don't.

****Remember what was said about rumour / innuendo / my mail / my mate told me etc bullshit in the other thread?
Same applies here but double.
There is no warning, no tolerance.
You post bullshit rumours that cannot be substantiated, it goes and so do you.
Don't test this out.*******

Seriously the guy didn't honour his contract with the Brumbies, punted by the Sharks after one season.

Did you ever see the stats of the Super Rugby game between the Brumbies and Sharks. Might be exciting in a city of public servants but his coaching style will not bring the fans back.

I know anything is exciting in

I saw him completely change the CULTURE of the Brumbies from a poor performing team to a high performing final contender. The culture change is massive and seems to big the biggest problem with the current wallabies.

He does a boring style but its he plays to the strengths of his current cattle. The Brumbies players strengths were kicking, same with the sharks. Now it might be a little optimistic but he might be able to play an attacking game with the current wallaby cattle. You never know.

Even he does play a boring style, the cultural change he will bring could set a new standard for future generations.

Well. We have now had the best credentialed coach in Australia from 2013 quit (that includes white and Cheika). Pretty good fucking indication of the environment. Bring in whoever we fucking want. The coach won't change shit.

Bingo. Cheika's a good coach (clearly), but it's glaringly obvious that what's rotten isn't going to be changed by shuffling the deck in the coaching reigns.

I don't know who they're going to put in, but the EYOT is looming as a fucking disaster.

Link didn't do anything wrong. He has been abused and so has him family. He's the only guy who has done the right thing from what we've been told. Really sad day for Australian rugby in my view.

Maybe. But why did Pulver say he " wants a coach who adheres to the core values of the playing group"?

It was a strange comment. I hope it was just a poor choice of words.

The players need to do what they're good at - which is training and playing. The coach and management need to run the rest of it - it's how professional sport works just about everywhere but Australian rugby.

Who will be willing and able to take over? Not the best circumstances to be stepping in to the role.

As I understand it, Cheika has said previously that he wasn't interested at the moment. I'd like to see him stay at the Waratahs for a few years.

This has to be sorted in a matter of days - there can't be that many people available.

The pathetic blaming of the public and the media is pissweak, Link said it himself - he no longer had the support of the players and thats an untenable position for any coach. The ARU certainly have blame as well, the lack of clarity around the role and responsibility of Paston , the lack of a team manager, the whole mess smacks of organisational dysfunction.

The few of us that were adamant that Dingo was not the real problem have certainly been vindicated, Link was never the solution because the problem wasnt the coach. I dont think Link was the right man for the job, but he never stood a chance.

Hey Kob that's not my opinion , that's just my mail.

You're happy to post completely baseless speculation lob. Could ask the same thing about you.

Larkham & Fisher please.

Fuck Cheika.

This is fucked. Anyone that thinks he is responsible for the shit going on has rocks in there head. So many baseless rumours flying around that I am not surprised he has had enough. Player power in this country has reached epic proportions. Just hope this isn't the excuse the ARU is looking for for soft decisions to come out of the investigation.
