Just read through and thought I'd summarise for those catching up:

Muglair, because he can't access/understand Wayne Smith's article today is still stuck on Rebecca Wilson's 'fabricated text' defence. It could take him a while to catch up.

Tah-dan's line of attack is in a death spiral. The only common thread in it is "cos I just don't like that woman".

I like to watch will just keep throwing red herrings along Tah-Dans line, just sneakier. They're easy enough to ignore.

Never fear though if you thought there was a chance of it all dying out, we have a new player in Rugby Mum 2 ready and willing to take up the "I just don't like her" cause!

Now we know why you get paid the big bucks. Sticky suggestion for the front page "get your last five pages of the Kurtley Beale thread summary - Click here". If only you could've started those summaries earlier gagger.... :)

i'd to know what David Pocock thinks about all this. If you follow him, or his partner online, he's has very strong opinions on women rights and equality. Wonderful example of a role modal for all young men.

He is also very smart and will likely stay out of the media in every possible way. But I agree with you, would love to know his thoughts.

You got that wrong ACT Crusader. Gagger could have written his summary before the first post.

I am going to play this again in slow motion guys, and if you concentrate real hard you might follow the play. It is a classic that has been used before, almost as common as the double cut out runaround. Its called the "we did not like the outcome of the process so rather than appeal we will rerun the trial in the media where the rules of evidence do not apply".

Wayne Smith says that DP received a MMS on 9 June with TWO lewd images attached. Because WS is not one of those nasty unethical lying journalists I am happy to accept without question that he has :

1 seen the messages on the phone,
2 been told by DP or seen her sworn evidence that is the case, or
3 something like 2 except someone at the ARU told him

The independent tribunal found that it was absolutely satisfied that Beale sent a text with ONE lewd image. This was apparently based on a forensic examination of Beale's phone. It would seem no evidence was offered in response by DP or the ARU. The Tribunal found that the image was sent to DP's phone by an unknown 3rd party.

Reading between the lines I have to assume everyone in the room was pondering how it came to be included in Beale's MMS message. Never mind that, until the Tribunal decision is appealed or further legal action is taken there will be no need to submit the phone for forensic examination.

Now WS is free to write articles inferring that Beale did send a message with two images but was nevertheless found not guilty. How terrible. Lets all run around propagating the now proven bullshit that he sent both of the images or that he has not been punished. I am glad WS is out there fighting for truth and justice.

I am all for unmasking the second sender, Waratah or not. I just don't think it is going to happen.

Whoa, hang on a minute. Aren't I entitled to another 2 fuck up's before getting that punishment? I mean I said sorry and everything!

You've got plenty of freeboard. Trust me. Now just put that phone down before you do something you have to pretend your are all remorseful about again. Put the phone down and go and do some tackling practice.

Incorrect. He forwarded the messages from a previous conversation, according to the article and what Beale admitted. The second message was included by accident, and Beale was not the original author.

That was Beale's defence.

Elephant in the room:

Who sent the second text? Who's the other shit-stirrer in camp who was destabilising the team and is probably very nervous at the moment?

We wouldn't be in this shitfight if Pocock was captain, or Moore was captain and Pocock just playing.

I suspect both of them would've been the first to announce to the media the reasons behind Beale's immediate sacking back in June.

So have I read it correct that Beale intended to send the message to Hanson and accidentally sent it to Patson, meaning Hanson never received it?

Yep. This is wild speculation, but my reading on the situation is that Beale probably didn't just try to text it to Hanson out of the blue.

More likely, in my opinion, is that Beale and a few others were dissatisfied/angry with Patson - whether for her performance, her role, or because they just didn't, I don't know. They make some stupid jokes about her at training or while they're just hanging out and everyone has a laugh. Beale takes things a step further and sends the picture. I imagine that word then gets around camp, 'Kurtley's got a great picture of Di' etc. etc., and Hanson has a laugh with Beale about it. Beale reckons he's got another mate who finds this sort of shit funny and tries to send him the message. In a staggering work of heartbreaking stupidity, he sends it to Patson andddd here we are.

My point being that while Beale was undeniably an idiot, and probably deserves everything he gets, it seems incredibly unlikely that this all happened in a vacuum. But again, this is just rampant speculation and I could be wrong on every single point.

This is what I want to know.

Was is actually proven that there was a second text? I know that is cause for debate amongst some people. Pulver said he had seen teh textx at the press conference when this initially broke, so what did he see?

If indeed there is a second, more offensive (I still find it laughable that they find difference in degrees of how badly she could have been offended) and Pulver has seen it then absolutely he needs to get to the bottom of it and find out who sent it. When it was thought Beale sent it it warranted a code of conduct hearing, so if it exists then surely the sender deserves the same hearing.

As for the players who received it, there is no doubt now that a handful of Waratahs players were sent the original message by Kurtley Beale. Did they also receive the second text? They need to man up and own up to it. They are acting like a bunch of school kids with a secret and it is disgusting.

You might need to read Wayne Smith's article again........ slowly.

Yes it's nice to know that Pocock and Moore will be back in the squad next year. There's two blokes that are mature, respectful and show great leadership qualities. Character traits we could use right now.

That presumes they would have known, it is unclear that the "shitfight" was known in detail by anyone other than the two involved in June.

Well, i'm guessing they would need to know Patston, and dislike her, to have created the image.

Unless it was another staff member?

I disagree.

I don't really know what Whatsapp does exactly, but it seems that if someone received the first message and picture and knew that there was a person called Di who worked for the Wallabies and a player was making fun of them, it would be pretty easy to play along with the offensive messages without knowing the person at all.
