Fucking hell, Beale is taking being a 'coach killer' to a new level. In his wake is Link, Di and a fuck load of dignity. How can any of this be justified? This is a complete farce.

I don't like this either. But the real stuff-up is in the resolution from a few weeks ago when Hawker and Pulver didn't get what they wanted. With Beale deemed eligible, this was always on the cards. And the outrage would have happened next year. I just don't see the urgency to get him over from a rugby POV, unless there are injury issues we are not being told about.
Clumsy stuff all around. Poor.

Definitely vindicated my decision to not support the wallabies any more.

Zero sense taking him over. There are 3 10's with test match experience in Cooper, Foley and To'omua.

There are 2 12's with test experience and good form in the last year in To'omua and Leali'ifano. Then there is Godwin who shows promise.

At fullback Folau is a certainty to start every single game. Adam Ashley-Cooper and Foley have both played test rugby there. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) probably has more caps there than Folau.

None of these players have the array of deficiencies in their play as Beale. Most of them have showed as much value on the field, more as test players since 2011. From a performance perspective it's a bad call.

Then there's the off field issues. I never had an issue with Cheika but now I hope it blows up in his face.

TWAS - are you serious about not supporting the Wallabies - because of an issue such as KB (Kurtley Beale).

Every sport has its high points and low ones. Good luck ion finding one that doesn't.

I used to enjoy your banter, opinions blah blah but I suppose you will be fucking off altogether. Goodbye

Mate I support the Reds and the NRC. But some of those fluffybunnys in the gold jersey, and the bloke coaching them now, can fuck right off.

He's not the only one.
Whilst 'not supporting' means different things to different people, I think the fact that any long time Wallabies supporter feels the need to declare they no longer support the team or the organisation is the saddest indictment.
If Beale plays against Ireland (one of my second teams) I'm pretty sure I'll cheer for them.

Was fine in the barbarians game.

Matt T probably "thought" he had secured a spot at 12. Lilo's return to form (with Matt injured) may have upset his apple cart (as it would for all of us). Who really knows? only one bloke.

However, if that is the case, then Chek and his support staff need to address that kind on mental stress on a day by day basis. Its imperative that players been in the right "headspace", on and off the field.

It certainly affects performance.

Fuck Scoey - I just hope the Reds don't have any off field incidents otherwise you guys will be supporting "syncronised swimming"

There's a difference between supporting the Wallabies and supporting the 'suede elbow patch' institution that is the ARU..whilst I may not always agree with decisions of either, I'll always support the 23 blokes that run out in gold, whoever they are and whoever they are playing..

KOB - FUCKING EXACTLY CORRECT

Like I said. Different things for different people.
I don't want to get into it, because the reasons for my own decision are my own and shouldn't make one lick of difference to anyone else, but I will say that I am struggling to get behind a number of the 23 blokes in gold and the guy coaching them as well.
I appreciate that I may well be in the minority though.

I was trying to take a balanced view on all this but even I think Beale should have been left alone till next year. Really really bad move.

i agree. The bloke should have been left in the wilderness for rest of year and see how he performs for the Tahs in 2015. If his form warrants selection the so be it. AND there should not be an ARU top up in any circumstance. He really has to pay a large price to stay in the game (and $48,000 to a bloke probably on close to $700,000 -800,000 is quite a small price)

I can understand Schatz going over to cover for Higgers coming home, but no way he should get a run before Jones who is another who can't get a run atm.

Easy there Tiger. I am all for Jones getting a run as well but I am not contracted by the ARU to train and select the side. I am sure Cheika has his reasons why Jones has not been sighted in Wallaby gold on this tour.

Gives me the shits as well that Beale is going because where Jones is unproven at test level To'omua and Quade are and they both cover 10/12 as do Foley, Lealifano, Godwin and even AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has played 12 at test level.

What has transpired in the last month or two has well surpassed an 'off field incident'.

It's an overused expression but if what has happened with the Wallabies over the last little while, happened at the Reds I would be utterly gutted. No, actually I would be so far beyond utterly gutted. I don't know what I'd be.
