Hunt played 2nd playmaker at the Broncos, its not a role completely foreign to him.

Frisby is a fantastic attacking halfback, but his defence is woeful. He was almost a non-tackling player at times in the NRC. Hopefully the Reds training staff really work on that aspect of his game. The Frisby / McIntyre defensive combo for City was a heart attack waiting to happen.

The other thing Frisby might need to do is dial back his short kicking game a little, I remember too often he liked to put in short kicks that rarely, if ever, came off.

However, Frisby is a fantastic organiser from halfback. and has great vision on attack, and is pretty quick to boot.

Shuttle services are running from Roma St and the RBH. Gates open at 4:30 though so I reckon there'd be a fair chance of nabbing a park if you wanted to go and catch the curtain raiser also.

SHUTTLE SERVICES
Commencing from 5.30pm shuttle services will operate at regular intervals from 5:30pm until 7:20pm from the following locations:

Roma St in the City (Stop 125), and
Metro Car Park at RBH in Butterfield Street (Bus Stop 518)

At the completion of the match, (full-time) services shall depart Ballymore to the City and Metro car park. Shuttle services to operate for 60mins.

Just reading the rugby news is K Hunt the Reds VC for the season or just this game? Seems like a strange appointment if either is the case as he hasn't played much rugby since school.

Him and Simmons were announced as the vice captains.

I guess it's a nod to the fact that he's a natural leader in the group.

Just hope the forwards keep their mojo and believe that they can do it. With the reds backline anything may be possible this year.

I think our pigs will go just fine. They have been there or thereabouts the last couple of years. Our lineout has been excellent and at times a genuine attacking weapon, our scrum has generally done the job, dominating at times but others not so much, and our ruck work has been effective to good most of the time (in terms of what we needed from it). Where we've been lacking is that extra one or two dynamic ball running pigs that can get us over the gain line and give the Jessica's some front foot ball consistently.

The backs for mine is where we've sorely been let down the last couple of seasons. Never really looked dangerous with the ball to be honest.

I think the recruitment this year addresses most if not all of those concerns.
