On the U20s will we see guys chosen in the Aust squad held back from club rugby until after the JRWC?

Went to the East Vs GPS game on Sat expecting a great game of rugby.....and I have to say I wasn't impressed with either side! I know its early in the Season and its the first game I have been to this year....but the basic skills on both sides was very poor.

Basic catch pass was poor withalot of passes well behind the player stopping any attacking raids, There were a number of overlaps and instead of hands to create and put the player in space they would do big cutout passes and negate the over lap as the "D" could easily slide and a lot of cross field running as well!

Both 9's were also very Poor!!

Whats the standard been like in other Prem games so far this season that People have seen?

Who are the good 9's to look out for?

Tom Christie who played 9 for GPS on the weekend is a really good, well rounded player. Didn't have his best game but was far from poor in my opinion.

I've heard GPS have halfbacks coming out of their ears but none of them are really up to Premier Grade level. They are still waiting for Grasso to return from injury as well.

It was a scrappy game, lots of errors and penalties, but was fairly intense. That was GPS's first game of the season too, and as a relatively new group together I'd expect them to be a bit scrappy early, but I didn't think it was a bad game...

Thanks Reg. Was looking forward to the live stream again (great initiative by the QRU!) but then I saw Simon Moore was the ref. Another decent game already destroyed
Try to say something vaguely constructive rather than just shit-can the ref, who is doing an unenviable job for not a lot of financial reward. This is pretty much playing the man, and we don't go for that here. Be careful.

Filth - is JOC (James O'Connor) been registered as a Brother player yet?

Does anyone know which clubs Thomson & Hunt have been assigned to?

I honestly hope that it is Wests & Norths.

I am even happy for JOC (James O'Connor) to link with Brothers and if not Brothers it should be Bond.
And where is will Genia registered? Last rego I saw was with Sunny Coast Stingrays who are no more

Just had a quick squiz at RugbyLink for today's games. Logan have already forfeited in 2nd and 3rd grade?! Surely their 3rd grade are pulled from the comp now and 2nd grade wouldn't be far off. Such a shame.

Norths v Souths res grade called off at halftime. 3-3. Apparently it counts as a result.
Prems not played. Game to be played before easter apparently.

Sent from my mind......

So I hear Damon Emtage is the Assistant Coach of GPS this year? (could someone clarify please)
And who was the No. 1 playing for Brothers against Sunnybank? A red head guy, not Michael Bermingham was it? (once a Easts player)

Thanks Cyclone. Kudos was given to the QRU in my post. Constructive you'd agree.
As for the ref, well, only look at the performance. The way players are spoken to by him wouldn't be acceptable in the business/corporate sector so it also doesn't have a place in QPR. He did it last week (as many times before) and again when talking to Greene about his grass cutter tackle. Have a look at the video from today's match. That doesn't lie. And then he goes on with it to Gendle?!!
Only playing it as I see it and It is below par. The players deserve better.
