I would like to see Sio and Holmes start, for two reasons; for the experience and to give Slipper and Kepu some rest.

Skelton isn't going to get better by not playing, so I think they should start him again.

I don't think Cooper and Giteau suit each other's style, I think Giteau would complement Foley, and To'omua complements Cooper..

I thought Horne went well but I would like to see some experimentation in the wings.

You guys will probably think I am trying to sabotage you as I'm a Pom, but I think you could do alot worse than start the backline that finished the springbok game.

9. Phipps
10. To'omua (spelling?)
11. Mitchell
12. Giteau
13. Kuridrani
14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) (or the badge because he is a legend. Simple as that)
15. Folau

Get Pocock and Horwill (Skelton can't cut it and never has been able too) in the pack and that wouldn't be a bad little team.

Probably not a bad test to start the reserve props. It will be the hardest test scrummaging wise and we can see where they're really at. Maybe even the whole reserve front row and let Hooper captain.

1. Sio
2. TPN
3. Holmes
4. Horwill
5. Simmons
6. Hooper
7. Pocock
8. McCalman
9. Phipps
10. Cooper
11. Tomane (plays better away from home, even for the Brumbies)
12. To'omua
13. Kurindrani
14. Mitchell
15. Folau

16. Moore
17. Slipper
18. Kepu
19. Skelton
20. Fardy
21. White
22. Lealiafano
23. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)

That's a weird thing to say about a bloke in his second full season, who only started his second test tonight.

Hard to disagree with what you're saying Shelts. If Giteau defends at 10 (and To'omua at 12) off lineouts/scrums, I'd be content with that backline.

McCalman (or Palu if Cheiks want to temporarily halt his extended rest) in for Higgers, who I presume will be relegated to the bench.

I would however start Skelton again, and seriously consider starting Pocock against the Argies for his skillset - even though Hooper did little wrong. This would be predicated on whether Skelton can jump enough to be a viable lineout option, or if he can be a lifter for Hooper/Pocock or Palu/McCalman.

Starting Sio and Holmes could be an option, but I doubt Cheiks will want to tinker around with the lineup too much.

Well fair call... I should amend my statement to 'does not look like he has been able to handle test rugby yet'.

Hard to disagree with what you're saying Shelts. If Giteau defends at 10 (and To'omua at 12) off lineouts/scrums, I'd be content with that backline.

To be fair I image they would play interchangeably between 10 and 12, with Giteau popping up at first receiver as often as To'omua. To'omua's added physicality would help cover up Giteau's lack of size.

1. Sio
2. Moore (only to get 50 mins this week)
3. Holmes
4. Horwill
5. Simmons
6. Pocock
7. Hooper
8. McCalman
9. Phipps
10. Cooper
11. Horne
12. To'omua
13. TK
14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15. Folau

16. TPN
17. Slipper
18. Kepu
19. Mumm
20. Fardy
21. White
22. Foley
23. Mitchell

Rested a few and tried a couple more combos.

On Cooper - let's see what he can do with good service, a direct and physical 12 and a forward pack that won't be so badly beaten at the breakdown. He and Gits are not physical enough to be paired so whatever happens I don't want to see Cooper or Foley with Giteau again. That sort of 12 may work in Super Rugby but it won't in tests, especially when the forwards regularly struggle for parity.

Cheikaball is close to failing at this level. The forwards aren't dominate and it looks like a good reason big 12s are all the rage elsewhere.

I might be wrong but aren't we expecting the 8 blokes in the squad that didn't get a run to be in the 23 for this game? Plus white probably.

And expect giteau, Mitchell, Genia and Skelton to stay at home.

I don't disagree with your sentiments but the All black's destroyed the Argie scrum on Friday.

Argies also had first-game syndrome. They'll be a foot taller at home. Plus their maul ripped the ABs a new one late on

With Horne out, Mitchell starts, Tomane to bench. Don't fuck around with too much else but the necessary:

1 Slipper
2 Moore
3 Holmes
4 Simmons
5 Horwill
6 Fardy
7 Pocock
8 McCalman
9 Phipps
10 Cooper
11 Mitchell
12 Giteau
13 Kuridrani
14 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15 Folau

Higgers doesn't work hard enough, Pocock to start with Hooper becoming the running man off the bench along with Skelton.

Give the QLD T5 + Moore a chance to make their mark at set piece.

I think they've got to give Tomane a start to see if he can continue on with his Super Rugby form.......

I'm not convinced that Mitchell is good enough to displace Horne, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Tomane or Speight on the wing.
I agree with that. I think Mitchell stays at home for this one

Hanson too hasn't he. Don't know why Cummins got called up. We've still got Taqele, Mitchell, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Tomane in the squad as wing options for this game.

Disregard (I misread the above post)........ Tomane is on the plane to Argentina:
