Timana Tahu.
Arthur McGill or Rupert Rosenblum, take your pick. Both were dross.
Timana Tahu.
He clearly believed (up to this point at least) that he could succeed and it's sad to watch anyone with belief fail, more so when they appear to be a genuinely nice guy.
Yes. Until you meet real opposition it's great fun.Rag on him all you like but if he were that bad he wouldn't have been starting in a scrum which has dominated the opposition the last two weeks. Yeah yeah yeah it's 'poor opposition', but that's the whole point isn't it, to be better then your opposition.

He would not play ITM in NZ, CC in SA or anything in the Northern Hemisphere because he cannot scrum if his life depended on it.
But Michael Foley wasn't sacked from NSW. They did a review and reappointed him for 3 years (my memory is a bit hazy but know he was reappointed). This came after he offered to step down as head coach to an assistant coach position. He left the 'tahs a month later to take up a four year offer to join the Force.
Rumours of unrest in the Coaches box doesn't really surprise me after the first trial game.
As many former test players have demonstrated, a test career does not equate to quality commentary. And I particularly dislike Martin's commentary. But respect where it's due, Martin has played more tests, tour matches and matches for his state than 99.94% of this forum's members.
If this is actually true, all 3 should be shown the door by the end of the year.
Yep, he knows he's done, put him out if his misery. That RG post game press conference is one of the saddest things I've ever seen in professional sport. It's right up there with Link plodding off down the hallway alone after his last Wallabies test as HC. For clarity, I'm being serious, no sarcasm intended. There's just the glassy look in his eyes of a man who's had his dreams completely and utterly crushed.
I firmly believe that RG is not cut out for coaching at this level and I absolutely want the Red's to ditch him ASAP, but I do feel really sorry for him. He clearly believed (up to this point at least) that he could succeed and it's sad to watch anyone with belief fail, more so when they appear to be a genuinely nice guy.

Just a note. Only RG and MOC in the box. Stiles is with his feet on the ground (literally - running water). He's also the only one to talk (pre game warm up) about excessive flyhalf depth - in a way that sounded like he meant it and was trying to do something. He is also responsible for the only Red strength, the set piece.
Stiles stays. Do what you want with the other peanuts, but removing Stiles would be an instant removal of this supporter. If anything, you'd think he would have his cv in front of Michael Cheika.
Sam Cordingley isn't it?Frawley needs to take control NOW and put his stamp on the place. While he is at it a cleanout of the person responsible for talent identification and/or retention.
Shit - I need to hear some good news
Everything you say is accurate but if he isn't lining up 100% behind RG while he is there that's a huge problem. You can't have a coach sabotaging a team/another coach no matter how incompetent he is.
I agree that Phil Mooney might be worth consideration for an interim coach (at least until a successor can be scouted). I think his work for the reds in 2008/2009 was probably underrated, although he clearly had taken the young squad as far as he could at the time given his lack of experience. He certainly had the Reds playing an enterprising, exciting brand of footy though. The fans really could use some of that right now.
I think it's fair to say that if they didn't align (or hold their tounge) with RG they'd be gone by now. think John Connolly.. they had no problems sacking him.
