A good day of rugby at MRSL rugby park, getting to see all teams . Colts and Grade on the same oval was great.

All grades played well, trying different combinations.

1st grade took out the game. Have a lot of size and height in the forwards, very solid scrum.

4th grade were very impressive. Very sharp.

For all those wondering who was the good looking fella on the BBQ . Big wazza2013 was working the tongs. Jamie Oliver watch out.

A shute shield team winning against a subbies div 2 team (who were apparently trying to go back down to div 3) isnt anything to really be proud or gloat about for Penrith

i understand they are trying to rebuild (or build completely) but i doubt any team will be shaking in their boots by a victory over Bluey's

I read an interesting article the other day about David Horwitz which credited his good form in the Tahs first 2 games this year with the fact that he's been training with the Tahs for the last 2 years. No credit given to the fact that he's been playing SS during that time or to his coaches at the Wicks. What would he have been doing if the SS didn't exist? The same can be said for the likes of Michael Hooper, Rob Horne, Dean Mumm, Paddy Ryan etc. They may have been annointed at an early age but the SS deserves some credit for their development surely.

The bastard broke my ankle! I claimed a high kick-off and was hit so hard by Pyle that I'm still hurting 7 years later. Ankle got stuck in the ground as my body was flung backwards at a brutal pace.......

Am sure he had fun, can't say the same for his struggling Subbies opponents!!

The same Michael Hooper and Rob Horne that made their Super Rugby debut their first year out of high school?

This sounds similar to what Brett Papworth wrote in his article (well I'm reading into it) that SS (and other club rugby) is being ignored, or considered a lesser path by the higher ups - I wonder who gave the writer the idea that it was only Horwitz's two years training with the Tahs and not his club rugby experience that has given him a good start to the season?

Probably the fact that very few players who are not part of full time professional programs are able to adjust to Super Rugby adequately.
