@Oldcolt, as you are clearly close to things Newington. Do you have any idea of the team going to play at Grammar 10's this weekend?

I can't help you with that, I'm afraid NIS - my knowledge of affairs at Newington isn't current anymore, now that youngest son has left 'the College' and is trying his hand at Colts. I'll certainly be following this thread with interest, though, and will be particularly keen to see if my predictions about the make-up of the 2016 New 1st XV were close to the money.

what time is Grammar 10s ... presumably at Weiggal?

I hear that Grammar is really struggling with rugby numbers ... not even a new rugby-nut headmaster is going to change that ... not that that seems very likely :mad:

you sure?
Yep - pretty sure! I said they weren't focusing on rugby in their prep for last year's HoR - didn't say they weren't thinking about it at all.
On a separate note, I'm still confident that New will back up and get another premiership in 2016 with a solid core of talented players

Apologies for raining on the "Shore Lovefest 2016" @NIS and @Loiterer but there are some practical considerations that I don't think you guys have thought through very carefully. i.e If Shore is going to get through the Rugby season "undefeated" with the "best front row in the comp" how much time will that seriously leave them before the end of the season to solve world hunger, child poverty and develop a cure for all cancers?:rolleyes:

Oh, and I've just switched on the Barry White background music while you consider your response.

Think nothing of it..I'm here to help!
@Azzuri, a nice Love-in if I do say so.

Now what are the Skyblues up to this weekend?

you and me may be the only one's interested tjp but
(a) Schwartz is likely to a be non-starter this season as he is trying to fry other fish - i.e. having won the Nationals -> to junior olympics :

(b) Comino is the best half of the three candidates - though for some reason you left him out

NIS is drinking Pinacoladas in Bali.
(the craft beer thing hasn't quite taken off yet), Keenly awaiting any results from GAGER land.

Full time here at Kings... With the sky blue and white running out winners 51-10 against Cranbrook. Kings finishing last 10 mins with 13 men due to two yellow cards.

Joeys cut ham sandwiches lunches were of sterner stuff today as they beat the tandoori sausage rolls of Waitara 56-10. No details yet but the after game function was well received as the lamb pies were eagerly consumed. Early favourite for pie of the year goes to the CAS.
