I know they played a couple of trial games at the club and the whole front row were extremely impressive. Maybe someone saw that potential?

Moses and Clinton played 3 trial games for Souths in Prem Colts this season.

Rumour mill has Souths investing heavily in colts program next season. Could be they are there?

Could well be. They have struggled majorily and have always hat a connection with bshs. Must be a 4 way race for Moses with Wests, Sunnybank, UQ and Souths all in the running.

What wouldn't suprise me if Wests attract a high amount of talent this year. Their great recruitment of last year has paid dividends and it's an attractive proposition for in coming colts to see a winning team, incredible facilities and a club on the rise

This is the "cross roads" for these young schoolboys leaving school.
The pathway for them is finding a good colts program that can hone their rugby potential as recognised thru : gps, qld and the highest honour of representing your country at National schoolboys.
Wests is very enticing. McNamara and coaching staff have a great program . STrong focus on developing core skills. This is a definite template straight out of the 'lotlwc'. Why not copy something that is working? :) . I love the 'no names' rocking the top of the PC ladder.

Any thoughts on Dammers being installed as Souths Prem Colts head coach for 2018
His resume reads as good as any super rugby coach, but what it doesn't say is that he's left everywhere on questionable terms. Souths colts are at rock bottom so the good news is it couldn't get any worse, GPS were happy to see the back of him though, I bet he'll last one season

Nudgee was happy to see the back of him in 2016.
Last year at BBC he had no ability to build a team spirit he picked his team on questionable merit that only he knew and he refused to communicate with anyone but the captain of rugby.
If Souths look at him as a coach for their Colts program I can only say they will regret that.
He planned all his game plays around the superstars(Qld and Aust reps) and when they became injured last year at BBC he had not built confidence with the rest of the team to step up.
It was very noticeable to coachs and parents at BBC how the program was not as strong as the previous year.

I think you're confusing Dammers with Shane Drahm who coaches 1st XV at BBC and previously Nudgee. Dammers left Nudgee in 2010 and was our Prems coach at GPS last year. Your comments about Drahm I have heard similar to.

Pretty sure Moses lives North Brisbane, so travelling to Souths or Sunnybank might be a bridge to far. From what I've heard "Any where but the Filth"

His older brother live at Pine Rivers and played for Sunnybank. Some players are willing to travel for what they want.

Ugly incident at the conclusion of the Prem Colts game between Brothers and Souths on the weekend... a bit of handbags between the teams at full time almost exploded when a brothers supporter or injured player (in plain clothes and was running kicking tee out) ran a good 40m to get heavily involved .......

Full force of the law:
  • Hefty fine (40 X $50) =$2k
  • 12 month ban for using the tee unlawfully :) ..

They will need to "invest heavily" after the last 2-3 years performances. Hasn't really worked for Souths nor UQ over the last few years, all this "investing heavily".

Just develop what you have seems to be a better ploy.

Your dreaming aren't you?? West have 3 (maybe 4) key kiwi players in this year and you know it. So don't go on with program this facilities that; makes you sound foolish and us stupid.

Not rocking the PC ladder so much after yesterday's game; and more of that to come when we get to the finals race.

So with your "no names" comment above sole334, you can fool some of the people, some of the time, but not all of the people, all of the time!

Ah good to see nothing's changed between the clubs. Souths were of course not involved? Must of been the 0 from 14 -622, that did it! Good to see Souths spirits haven't been dampened and no tees were injured during the ruckus ;).

It is a fact that they have the best facilities. That is just plain fact. Yes they have 3 or 4 kiwi boys who came from a school which isn't even well known so I'd put that down to recruiting. Wests have plucked players from left, right and center to put together this squad and for you to say that the program and facilities is not above the grade is down right ridiculous. They have down an incredible job and the club has realised that it has to build from the bottom up for their rugby program and have invested heavily in it

Looks like the top four have been sorted, just a matter of the order. Will be a close set of semi finals again. Good luck to all the teams; good rugby and no injuries

Well that's the point I'm making exactly; but don't veil recruitment of unknowns to the "best program". There is no doubting the facilities (good on Wests for taking that challenge), but please this is the first time Wests have been in the finals for quite a few years. So the "program" has little to do with it.

At this age it's about mateship, a feeling of belonging and enjoying yr rugby, not about some program!?! There young men (boys a lot of them), they will make mistakes and even surprise us from time to time. The way you guys talk you would think they are programable machines; and there not.

So don't give me this "program" mumbo jumbo stuff; I'm little bit too tired and old for it.

What I think getwithme is trying to say sage is that Wests this year have concentrated on recruiting lads with the right attitude to learn, improving individual player skill development and ensuring they feel an important part of the club! If that's not a program I don't know what is, if you disagree then maybe you really are too old and too tired!

Not all clubs have the pulling power or players resources/numbers of the 'top' clubs so they have to adapt!

Good luck to all sides in the finals, can't wait!!!
