I think it was quoted somewhere he did have a significant caseload to complete. Whilst this is a priority to good Rugby folk of OZ, it might not have been high priority on his list.

just taking the piss... i've no idea what his pre-existing caseload and outstanding judgements were. i agree that to the rest of australia this is a very small time judgement, and getting it this quick is a bonus.

Indeed, but no matter how important the case, the judge still has to get it right. The ARU would have us believe that it was an open and shut case and they were originally expecting a judgement last Wednesday. Sounds like things might be a little more complicated than some might like to think.

I really hope The Hammer finds in favour of the Force.
If he finds in favour of the Force I hope he turns to the ARU and says 'you can't touch this' and then he dances

SuperSport financial injection to the PRO14 means all the teams get 50% more income.

Yep, they pick up extra cash - GBP 400k to GBP 500K. Not sure how that spend compares to the Saffer team travel and accom.

I understood that the commercial success of the Pro12 teams had a lot to do with their gate takings. If so, Cheetahs have work to do and the Kings might not have been the right team.

Wish them the best though. Both were teams worth watching in Soup.

Is that injunction over too, or does that persist throughout any and/or all higher courts?
