Are you sure it’s Sione Tui from the 20’s and not Sione Tuipolotu from the Rebels top squad?
Tuipolotu was announced alongside a few others departing the club sometime last week.
Huge night for the ACT faithful, a tremendous second half of the season and Australia’s only bright light. Let’s hope the supporters can turn out in numbers for this one
It looks like it is going to be quite a clean out next season and not because the Rebels want them out but because a lot will be leaving Australia rugby;
Will Genia
Quade Cooper
Adam Coleman
Marika Koroibete
Billy Meakes
Tom English
Sam Talakai
Sam Jeffries
Tetera Faulkner
Michael Ruru
Sione...
Hardwick, Wilkin, Coleman and Tupai are all out through injury. Haangana and Hosea have been with the 20’s for the past two weeks, so it looks like Pone will be covering 6/8 this weekend
Don’t think that will happen anytime soon. I can’t imagine too many Super Rugby teams being able to pay what he would be receiving from his Japanese club side as well as the Sunwolves
On another topic, hearing that Fereti Sa’aga is in fact not injured but has just infact fallen out of favour behind both Faulkner and Gibbon. Disappointing news after ending the season rather strongly
Slipper’s days on the opposite side of the scrum are past him. He was broken during NRC because of that, he’s the best LHP in the squad and should be starting ahead of Sio
The biggest area of improvement in the past weeks for the Rebels team has been the scrum. Held up very firm and was rewarded by the Referee at times in the game. The Brumbies will be filthy they couldn’t get pay in that area tonight.
Will Genia was World Class tonight and QC (Quade Cooper) steered that ship...
Expecting a big outing from K Hunt against his former team. He will want to impose himself in that midfield especially against Kerevi. Makes for good viewing.
Leota & Hardwick both played around that 15 minutes off the bench. Rangi exited the game with 20 minutes to spare and both starting props played 70 minutes. Gibbon came on in the final stages of the game and Ainsley was subbed off with 15 minutes to play when Talakai returned from the blood bin...
