Pretty unnecessary to print this. Plus It wasn’t the leader board. That was the last set of ergs. The numbers shifted all year and as you will know, can be very dependent on health status etc.
This is correct. That four was definitely the fourth fastest four throughout the year: they just had a blinder. The third four wasn’t helped by one of their rowers having a sprained wrist the week before.
And yes, some of the third four got moved to the second four but didn’t row well on...
No one was pulled out of the 2nd VIII into the 1st IV. That crew has been stable for two weeks. One of the first IV rowed 1st IV AND 2nd VIII the week before because of illness. If you’re going off what’s printed in the regatta calendar then I can tell you it hasn’t been accurate for weeks.
Correct.
He was also given work ons last year by Rennie which included improving his left-to-right passing which isn't up to scratch yet. Even Will Genia called that aspect of his game out publicly in an article for the Roar.
Tate is an excellent halfback and I enjoy watching him but he isn't...
Yes correct. He will be a big loss as he was a real leader in the pack however there is good bench strength this year and they have been rotating players tactically during the trials so the player stepping up will be ready.
I really feel sorry for him as he has been an excellent player right...
That’s great news. Either way, GPS rugby doesn’t encourage players abusing crowds. The joeys boys get their own grandstand at Northbridge every year and they are “encouraging” without any overt abuse being tolerated.
If the player in question had been brought though the GPS system, he would know that type of behaviour isn’t acceptable. It isn’t league. Rugby is about character as much as it is about anything else.
That’s a really considered post Rob. I’m a Shore dad but my godson played 1st XV from yr 10 at Scots so I went to all his games and in my experience there was always a strong behavioural culture at Scots that I really respected. The player in question came from St Augustine’s in yr 10. Maybe...
He’d been good up until tonight. I wouldn’t crucify him on tonight’s effort but he needs to get a bit smarter. The ref is missing the Blues tighthead pancaking because his feet are too far back. Frustrating.
