    CAS Rugby 2024

Well aside from the fact that the Waves backs did score all their 3 tries, as I said, in general play they also used their backline more than Knox. All of the Waves tries were backline plays!!! and an opportunist try still confirms how much more dangerous the Waves backline proved on the day...

    CAS Rugby 2024

Well the Waves backline scored all 3 of their tries and just missed a fourth with the last forward pass. Knox scored all 4 tries through their forwards, which I think supports my comment. Doesn't matter now, so Best of luck to both Knox and Barker, may the best side win. I think Barker by 10+...

    CAS Rugby 2024

Based on the 2 Waves games, it appears that both Knox and Barker rely on the pick and drive to score most of their tries. It is an extremely boring style of footy, but effective, and that may have only been the case to combat a strong Waves backline. In splitting the 2 sides, I would say that...

    CAS Rugby 2024

I can't believe it, unbelievable! Again, like last week v Barker, Waves have the last play of the day, out to the winger, completely unmarked, to win the game, he catches it and goes over but the ball goes forward. Knox Win 35-30. Best of luck next week to Barker and Knox, should be a terrific...

Wow Rod, another belter at Death Valley. Yet another epitome of how school boy rugby is the best of all to watch IMO. Both sides exhausted each other. As a Waves supporter it hurt that we dropped the last ball, 5 out, and unmarked, but then again Barker have also had their share over the years...

    CAS Rugby 2024

G'day Joe, it's not about a victory at all but how the game unfolded, to be more precise. I would also suggest that the Waves NEVER have an undertaking of putting 100 on any school, that possibility is discussed before any such game, and changes are made at half time if necessary. Plenty of such...

    ISA 2024

Co, and yours IS the important question! Whilst i don't pretend to know, I would guess that it is the depth of teams in each age group AND the recent competitiveness of each school across all these teams. eg a Minimum in a Tier 1 comp of A-Ds in each age group, maybe 16s being the exception as...

    ISA 2024

Funny ;) but true! Let's move on and focus hopefully on a stronger comp next year. I was very reliably told yesterday that next year, a new looking CAS/ISA comp would be established, ie a tier 1 and tier 2 comp! Finger crossed!

Spot on QH, and I know you are well versed in your rugby. These schools do have reasonable depth of teams, and most teams are competitive, which is what everyone wants.

Joe M, Ignore this chest beating exercise, if anyone bothered to do this every year, and I don't know why you would, the table would certainly look very different historically for the ISA. It's just that 2 ISA teams have finally beaten some historically stronger schools, JUST. Nothing wrong...

Oakhill 19 Waves 5. Couldn't tell you how good either team is, the ground was a lake, they probably shouldn't have played. Oaks took their chances, Waves spent 75-80% on Oaks line but just kept making mistakes, deserved to lose. Go away rain!

Guys, call the new comp what you will CAS/ISA, how about CIS, now that's a marketing idea(funny that) but who cares as long as the comp is balanced and every/nearly every game is balanced.

Waves have their no 1 Prop back this week, VJAY, after a few weeks off, and after a week back v Auggies for their 2 other key forwards, they are aiming to get set for the CAS comp which starts shortly. All things being equal and with no massive rain effect ,here we go. Barker by 14 Waves by 18...

    ISA 2024

Wow you appear to be claiming rock star status again for your team, before they defeat all comers. I might add, this years talent generally isn't anywhere near as good as previous years, IMO. But you can only beat what is in front of you, so best of luck to the boys from Auggies, and all schools.

G'day ISA guys, I am a CAS Waves old boy/ Waves dad of 2 boys who just left/follower, etc (E) All the above in a multiple choice question :) I have to say, i think you should listen a bit more to your wise DaShoomze colleague. A weekend/ a few wins in a preseason doesn't mean a lot long term...

ISA, Herc is not a Waves supporter, pretty sure from Barker, could be wrong.

Yep get that, that does makes sense! Ha go Auggies! It is all tomfoolery but we all have our schools, otherwise if we all supported the same school it would be boring.
