    Brumbies 2020

I reckon there'd be a fair chance Powell will go overseas for a year or two at the end of next season. Not much point being stuck behind White and would probably be good for his development.

Maybe the master plan is to get the refs to actually penalise the rush defence for being offside?

    Rebels 2020

If he’d only signed for a year I’d have guessed he was just keeping the seat warm until Nic White arrived. But if it’s for two years I’m guessing that might mean White is headed to the Brumbies?

Semi Final - Brumbies vs Jaguares, Sat 29 June, 9:05 am (AEST)

Gee, if Mike Fraser's Wikipedia profile is anything to go by we could be in trouble: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Fraser_(rugby_referee) "He needs to invest in contact lenses as he cannot see on a rugby field. A blind bat can see better than him. He is the worst ref in the super rugby...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think there's been a story about merging/relocating the Brumbies every year since 1996. It used to be a Growden specialty.

So does anyone know anything about Maile Ngauamo? Seems he's the 3rd hooker now that Bongo's out. https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/6132334/bongos-knee-repaired-to-aid-recovery/?cs=14280

    The Israel Folau saga

And for the people who keep bringing Pocock up, you do realise he’s a Christian too? “I'm supportive of gay marriage, not despite my faith in Jesus, but because of it. “I'm young, I'm going to get some things wrong, and like everyone I'm in need of grace; but when I ask, "What would Jesus...

    The Israel Folau saga

I suspect Tim Wilson would represent a minority view in that ‘minority group’. And IPA members like him must be tying themselves in ideological knots over this one, normally they’re all for the rights of an employer to sack a worker

Msybe the U20s coaches have been crap too?

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

If we're hoping on a flyhalf returning to the form they showed many years ago, then can I put in a request for 2012 vintage Lealiifano rather than Cooper?

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Unfortunately I don't think his defence in the line is on par with his cover defence, he seemed to fall off a fair few tackles in Super Rugby. Probably something that can be fixed though.

Sio at 1, Ala'alatoa at 3. Slipper to the bench. Enever instead of Douglas, Cusack or McCaffery instead of Hyne. Jackson-Hope likely to be ahead of Simone at 12 based on NRC, or play Hawera at 10 and Lilo at 12.

This calculator has us being overtaken by Argentina if they win by more than 15 (we'd still be ahead of France, but Argentina jump past us and France) https://rawling.github.io/WR (World Rugby)-calc/?d=2018-09-17&f=1:39,38,20,15;40,37,15,20;39,37,15,20;40,38,30,10 I think we go back to 5th if we can beat...

I think losses to teams ranked above you don't affect your standing too much. It's getting beat by teams ranked lower that sends you hurtling down the rankings. By my calculations, if we lose to both South Africa & Argentina (and the loss to Argentina is by more than 15 points) we'll drop down...

    RC4 - Australia v Argentina

I haven't rewatched the game but my recollection is that Hodge went off for an HIA, which would explain why he was able to come back on I think

https://www.canberratimes.com.au/sport/rugby-union/brumbies-sign-hurricanes-lock-murray-douglas-20180906-p50236.html?crpt=homepage According to Wikipedia he's also played a some games for the Melbourne Rising a few years back. I'm guessing he might have an Australian grandparent?

So what happens with kicking for goal now? Will Hodge take all of them?
