    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Yeah I agree Hodge isn’t the answer at 10. But in the absence of a standout option at 15, his boot would be useful at the back and he’s solid under the high ball. With a midfield that’s misfiring put him in the pocket in our half and kick it long and out. Leave him at the back when we’re on...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Yeah I agree. But I’d already thrown Noah and DHP under the bus so I thought I’d stop there. If JOC (James O'Connor) is still out and with To'omua out for the season we’re really exposing our lack of depth. Paisami/Petaia would be my midfield but 10 is a real dilemma. I’d be tempted to put hodge at 15 and play...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

I agree but if we don’t identify the talent early and offer them something they get contracted to league straight out of school and everyone criticises the development pathway for not securing the next generation. We suffer from having a well paid and more popular alternative. Damned if you do...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

We spent years with our forwards being outplayed in every position (except maybe 7) and hanging in there due to the skills of our backs. We finally get some starch in our forwards and develop a dominant scrum (which was our Achilles heel for so long) and then our backs fall short. Bloody...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Fair call. He’s not up to it yet though. If he learns to tackle and improves a bit then maybe. But I wouldn’t give him another run next week. And I think there’s others who’ll overtake him in the pecking order before he gets there.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Why are we constantly having forwards lining up against backs in defence. Defensive structure needs a lot of work

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Really?? Lolesio has been inaccurate with his passing’ poor with his kicks and absent in defence. DHP has been exposed under the high ball, and offered little in defence or attack. There are plethora of other issues with other players but both those positions have offered little. White is...

Folau would come in handy right now. ABs mid field kick reaping rewards.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

Hooper does that a lot. One big criticism of his captaincy. The first one was a howler - we lost the line out and they scored in the next phases. 10 point turnaround and it was all downhill from there.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

Not getting the hate for wright. I thought he did ok. Wouldn’t argue if samu came back but I don’t think 6,7,8 is what lost that for us today.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

No need to panic. Pretty even for all but the 10 after half time. Crossed the line twice without points. Let’s wait and see what happens at home. Petaia starts Banks shown up - DHP or hodge (hodge for me) That’s all And don’t drop the ball, make your tackles and it’s back on track.

New Zealand vs Australia Oct 11 2020 Bledisloe Cup

So Solid - enough to retain his spot. I wouldn’t say one of our best though. It’s a position in which we lack depth - and has been for a long time.

New Zealand vs Australia Oct 11 2020 Bledisloe Cup

I thought the forwards had the ascendancy (barring the lineout) and gave us the possession and territory. The locks played well. It’s been a long time since we last won the collisions up front. The forwards should be rewarded next week with an unchanged lineup. The inside backs looked a bit lost...

It is actually. Amongst all the tahs bashing there’s some pretty insightful posts. More so than many here. Cant say I’m surprised you’ve had a second go though.

Super Rugby Au Final - Brumbies v Reds

Surely that’s not the best referee we have in Australia. Perplexing decisions both ways. Scrappy game but the Brumbies played smarter. Control the territory and wait for the inevitable.
