In my eyes we should never have got rid of it. Some of the designs we've had in the professional era have been shocking.

The big elephant in the room is not many care about their local Super Rugby franchise. I was originally from Sydney so I'm a Waratahs fan (former member and season ticketholder) and while we got the crowds when we were winning most would retreat back to their Shute Shield club.

Probably harder to do at other venues than what Coopers Stadium here in Adelaide does but whenever that ground hosts an event like the Asian Champions League or an international game all they do is put black tape over the Coopers part of the signage.

If WR (World Rugby) & the RWC does the same thing that soccer does they'd select the stadiums with current sponsorship names and have them revert to their original name. CommBank Stadium - Western Sydney Stadium Suncorp Stadium - Lang Park etc.

I've watched soccer at the G (Brazil vs Argentina in 2017) and the place is atrocious for rectangular sports. It'd be atrocious look to host a RWC final at the MCG.

I have the game on DVD and was there on the night but the 2014 final between the Waratahs vs Crusaders never gets old.

Yes they do but the father had to play a certain number of games for the club for the son/daughter to be tied to that club.
