    Wallabies 2024

Any word on whether or not Bell will be fit for the RC? I'm liking the structure of the forward pack that Schmidt is building, but the addition of Bell, Skelton and potentially Paenga-Amosa makes it so much more effective. Full strength, I think our pack would look something like this: 1. Bell...

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

I'd imagine Schmidt's just testing combinations to see who his best side is for the RC. Wouldn't surprise me to see a few changes to the XV, along with Wright dropping out for this match. I still maintain is the long term captain, so it wouldn't shock me to see a few more changes again for...

    https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/07/03/exclusive-reds-dominate-huge-wallabies-shakeup-with-six-debutants-expected-for-schmidts-first-test/ Few wild cards thrown in there. From the article, I'm reading the 23 as: 1. Slipper 2. Faesslar 3. Ala'alatoa 4. Frost 5. Salakai-Loto 6. Wright (c) 7...

    Wallabies 2024

It also wouldn't be the first time a blindside flanker in his mid to late twenties is named skipper after playing only a handful of tests. Also ironically from the same club in Brisbane (Easts Tigers baller production line confirmed). I know Mowen didn't stick around for long but he was a better...

    Wallabies 2024

As others have said, Wright is the perfect captain for a Schmidt coached team. 80 minute player, does the tough thankless work so that his team mates can shine, very low error rate and a very high work rate. Plus he's arguably the best lineout operator in the country which is just an added...

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

    Test week is here. This is my team based on players available: 1. Hodgman* 2. Faesslar 3. Ala'alatoa 4. Frost 5. Salakai-Loto 6. Wright 7. McReight 8. Valetini 9. White 10. Lolesio 11. Daugunu 12. Paisami 13. Flook* 14. Kellaway 15. Wright 16. Pollard 17. Slipper 18. Tupou/Nonggorr 19...

    Waratahs 2025

What are Tahs fans thoughts on shifting Kellaway to 13 next year? With Pietsch, Sua'ali'i, Jorgensen and Reilly all in the squad the back three is pretty stacked, but with Wilson and Perese gone there really isn't a 13 option outside of Walton. A backline of Gordon, Edmed, Pietsch, Foketi...

    Queensland Reds 2025

Now that Canham is confirmed and with Salakai-Loto all but confirmed, I'd imagine the top team next year could look something like this: 1. Alex Hodgman 2. Matt Faesslar 3. Zane Nonggorr 4. Ryan Smith 5. Lukhan Salakai-Loto 6. Liam Wright (cc) 7. Fraser McReight 8. Harry Wilson 9. Tate...

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

It's good to finally have some solid options at 6, even with Swinton and Hanigan leaving. Leota, Wright, Hooper and Valetini could all be selected at 6 and I wouldn't be mad. If Valetini is at 6 then it also opens up the possibility of playing Cale at 8. At 7 though, it's McReight then daylight.

Do we know when the squad is going to be announced?

    Queensland Reds 2025

Uru to the backrow and Smith and Blyth can swap in and out with Salakai-Loto and Canham depending on the opposition, similar to what the Brumbies have done all year.

    Wallabies 2024

More than happy for Wilson to get some gametime in the Reds matches and potentially against Georgia before bringing him into the squad for the RC. On form before he got injured he is deserving of a recall.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Have been hearing that squad sizes will increase, in which case I'd be taking both Salakai-Loto and Canham to give us the chance to rotate the squad for specific matches like the Brumbies do. They've managed to have 3 Wallabies locks in their squad all year, there's no reason why we can't...

    Wallabies 2024

Cannot fault him for chasing some bag at a young age especially considering he's just lost his job, but fuck this sucks. Hopefully the next 2 years in the NRL will help him develop his kicking out of hand and goalkicking, then he can come back in 2027 (plz dear god come back to us).

    Wallabies 2024

Faesslar and Pollard should be locked in. BPA won't be available until after the 16th, which is Montpellier's relegation playoff match. Considering that's about 3 weeks before the first test match I can't see him being selected for it. Bring him in for the RC definitely, but against Wales it...
