    John Eales Article

Perhaps there is a reason why Tom 'I'm going to push you in the chest' Carter gets picked every week. I still struggle to forgive Owen for almost losing us that 99 World Cup when he came on off the bench against the Saffas

    Brumbies 2010

There is a big big difference between the Afl (or VFL) and the Shute Shield.

    Brumbies 2010

Would doubt you would get Canberra clubs to merge as they would have no faith in any venture lasting. The other hole in your idea is the belief that Canberra players would return home. If you had escaped from prison would you go back?

    Wallaby 6,7,8

Dont think Mumm has the explosiveness for 8. But if Palu was injured I would probably put him to 6 and Elsom to 8.

    2010 Sevens

Secretely hoping this improved form could somehow end in Hong Kong glory next week. Good to see Nick Edwards from the Uni GF side last year playing for the States.

    Major Coup for Rod Macqueen

Strange call. Doesnt really fit into the culture of leadership I would have thought and could be divisive and cause more harm than good in a fledging side.

    Tahs v Force

On Hodgson I remember him playing some very good games for the Woods and he was one of the best Aussie players at the Hong Kong Sevens (which I am going to again next week :yay :yay) back circa 2004. Seemed to fall off the radar for a while until turning up at the Force. Even then it was only...

G&GR Brumbies Player of the Match (v Blues)

Didnt the kiwi commentators give Smith the big welcome. The next Mortlock if you believed them.

    Tahs v Force

Dont get me wrong. I dont think Hoiles is good. I just think Mowen is at the same level or slightly below.

    Tahs v Force

What did Mowen do last night? At least Hoiles can pass the ball. Mowen runs across field, has poor body height in contact and is only of any use in defensive lineouts.

    Tahs v Force

I thought the Tahs really missed Palu. Everything was left to TPN and he can't do everything. Mowen failed to step up and I cant see why so many people on here love him so much. He is a poor mans Steven Hoiles and that is saying something. Barnes had a shocker but he still had a couple of...

Force player of the match v Tahs

Stanford actually. McCalman at least had some touches and tackles. 3. Hodgson 2. Tyrell (From losing 50% one week to winning 15 out of 15 lineouts is a great improvement, especially as the Tahs had Mowen who normally pinches a few) 1. JOC (James O'Connor)

    Bulls and the bomb

Because it is one of the most dangerous plays in the game. Taking out a players legs while he is in the air is frought with danger. Thomo - for someone who has studied the safety aspect of the game I am surprised you are able to joke about an act that is so dangerous.

    Brumbies, what's going on?

I thought Valentine was very poor and I used to rate him quite a bit. The brumbies kicking game was not up to scratch and they have now set themselves a tough ask to make the finals as that was one of the more winnable away games.

    QLD Reds 2010

People have bothered to write 1000, well 1001 posts on the Reds. Must be a team on the up.
