I vote to keep it as is.

    To'omua injured

Hope for his sake the injury isnt serious but I bet Matty wishes he passed the ball now.

The playing rugby in 2010 thread.

That is in 5 games though NTA (2 in first grade, one in 3rds and 1 in Colts) so Im sure some of your Oakhill Rouse Hill battles have come close to that. But given that is more in one day than our entire club has had in the 7 years Ive been involved it is not a good look.

The playing rugby in 2010 thread.

Took the liberty of shifting this over from the Shute Shield thread. Just winding you up Ash. Im sure UNSW will be one of the stronger clubs, but at least they will be somewhat white and play the game with the right spirit. From all reports that didnt happen this weekend when Oatley had 4...

    Shute Shield 2010

Ash - Dont plan on playing too much this year. The broken coccyx in the last game of the season last year was a massive pain in the arse. I have said I might pick and choose my games (only play the white teams near the bottom of the table) so I might play against your boys if you are still at...

    Shute Shield 2010

As far as I am aware the three main spenders in 1st Division are St Pats, Knox and the Dirty Reds. Money comes from sponsors, but what the sponsors get in return is highly questionable. Most clubs get some money from the pub they associate with and then maybe some money if any of the players...

    Shute Shield 2010

12,000 dollars is a lot of money for subbies Nick. Given the vast majority of clubs, even in 1st division, don't pay anyone a cent, for a club to offer one player 12k is a bloody big investment.

    Shute Shield 2010

Had dinner with a bloke that played for Norths and they were thrilled with the win. They had been forced to bring up a few colts players and he said it was those colts players that won the game for Norths. I think they were slightly surprised because they thought Wests were the form team of the...

    Crusaders v Waratahs. Christchurch.

Have no problems with where a ref or TMO is from. Just think that if they are going to use TMOs they need be flexible. Try or no Try is not always the right question as sometimes cameras dont help.

    Crusaders v Waratahs. Christchurch.

Why cant a ref just say "Tell me what you think mate" rather than these stupid "is there any reason" crap conversations

    Reds 2011

To be fair, Gill did play like a bit of an animal in Hong Kong. Really threw his body around and was heavily involved, particularly in defence.

The Brumbies - can they do it?

I must admit I have been wondering how the attacking and defensive bonus points work in the top 14. But never enough to go look it up so thanks Lee. We complain about some of the commentating in the Super 14 but gee the ones that cover the Top 14 on Eurosport or HC games on ESPN can be bad...

    Rules question, the tackled player

I hope the refs will start pinging tackled players that dont roll away from the ball once they have played it. Particularly when the defending team is legally counter rucking. I know it is a big ask to expect the refs to actually enforce all the laws but it would be a good challenge to at least...

Re: 2010 NSW Club Rugby Hercus and Huxley were the same year at school. One played GPS 1's, the other 2's. Then they swappend when they made NSW but then I think both made Aussie Schools.

Tom Carter - love him, loath him or something in between?

Fine line though Newb. Had he been caught and the try pulled up I would have been prepared to shoot him. Given the winger had little chance of catching Caldwell I think it was a risky move.

    Team versus Cheetahs

I live next door and ended the night there. Having said that my steak from the Grand National before the game was very much enjoyed.

Tom Carter - love him, loath him or something in between?

Rob Egerton could get away with the socks down look because he just looked scruffy in general. Some of the players with better sun tans and calves the size of tree trunks can as well because who is going to argue. Carter on the other hand should focus on looking like a rugby player as much as he...

    Reds vs Sharks

I agree with Scarfy, Hardman looked quite pedestrian but then S Finger gave a few penalties away so wasnt much better. Finger must have a pretty hard back because he copped a couple of similar shots to those that Mumm gave him in Round 1 Also thought Higgenbotham returned to his early season...
