    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Pio Nekubuwai (13 - Easts) was a standout for mine. Be interesting to see if he sticks with rugby or goes back to league. Also Jake Pappin (10 - Easts) is a real talent for mine also that doesn't seem to get the recognition. A lot of good talent around the clubs. Let's hope we can keep them...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

I'm glad someone has brought this up. It is a joke that a team that has not won a finals game can be awarded a premiership. There was ample time to play 10 mins extra time. If at the end of that time, scores are still drawn, well fair enough the higher ranked team can be awarded the win...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Agreed 10 mins each way. How hard is that?? There was ample time and the Bank was buzzing. Would have added to a great day of rugby. Very disappointing. Time to rethink the rule book on this. Add to that the Colts 1 GF last year.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Agreed, he seems to be growing into the position every time he plays there. Nothing like game time to hone skills and experience.

More the case of the Name Withheld turns out to be Prem grade player "returning from injury" in 3rd/4th grade.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Can the forum answer for me a couple of questions about player eligibility: 1. How is player eligibility/registration checked before fixtures? 2. How many games does a player have to play in a grade to be eligible to play finals for that grade? I assume a player from the lower grades can go...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Gee - some quality players there across all three teams!

The "Rebel Effect" certainly helped Wests through the lower grades on the weekend.

RD 13 Reds vs Blues, Fri May 19, 2023

Not only Lynagh BUT I have to suggest that TL is not up to Super 15 level by a long way. He is still young and a great prospect BUT let him develop back in QPR and compete each week for 80mins against some of the rising #10 stars such HMP, Jake Pappin etc and see how he develops. He clearly is...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Lots of regulars rested, a few lower graders given an opportunity to step up, a few injured and needed a break before first round vs GPS, Elton and Ox are smart operators as everyone knows. Don't read anything into that result.

Any spectators / sideline experts at the Brothers vs UQ trials care to report in?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Here's one for the forum to chew over this week other than the GF.....what are your thoughts on having the brother/sibling of player refereeing their Prelim Final? This occurred last weekend in UQ vs Brothers 4th grade game. Penalty count was overwhelmingly in favour of the sibling's team who...

    Question: Who gets the trophy??

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Totally agree. It would have been FAB for all and great for all the local hospitality venues.

    It is a bad joke!

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

As has been said on this forum previously, I don't get how the Magpies can be doing so well in reggies and other grades and Prems just suck.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Parking at Sylvan Road is a nightmare on any playing day let alone a finals. GPS not much better. Trust the clubs will have a "plan" to appease the locals, the police, players and spectators alike!! Prelims @ Bond Uni - seriously?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

It's not a simple and easy process according to my microbiol and medical mates. TBH - any club that agrees to play there with this an issue are taking a huge player health risk. All sorts of legal ramifications I suspect. In the olde days, it would be off the Ballymore. What's the option...

    Qld GPS Rugby 2022

The "divided" competition was an agenda item on the GPS Headmasters forum a few years back when the "arms race" of GPS had Nudgee, TSS and BCC in the race at full throttle . It would be a tragedy if Qld went down the path of Sydney GPS rugby.
