You're spot on. Iona have been very unlucky in losing boys to GPS schools. The challenge for them (and all other AIC schools) is to develop the culture and program that makes their students want to stay.

Agree that Ashgrove's scrum was superior to Padua's on the weekend. Usher and O'Toole were still fantastic in other aspects of the game and should both be selected for AIC. Perhaps a bench spot for Usher this year. As for Creighton, he completely controlled the game. His kicking game and...

Yeah true. Predictions don't mean too much in this comp as there are always a few surprise packets. However, based on pre-season form and lineups that's my guess.

Padua have at least five year 10 or 11 starting players in the 2014 lineup with many more benching and getting game time. They will be very strong in 2015.

Fair call mate. Eddies have undoubtedly been the dominant side this year. I hope they get a decent representation when it comes to selection. The selectors just need to pick the best 15 (and the rest) footy players who can stick it to the GPS boys.

Yesterday was the first game the 1sts and 15As have lost this season. The 1sts currently have two year 10s (O'Toole and Ah San) and a few year 11s (Creighton, Honour, O'Donnell, Schwenke). They'll be hard to beat in the next couple of years.
