Word down at GPS rugby this morning was that the MCA capt will be out for the rest of the season with a badly torn hamstring. This is a very big loss for the team in many ways. With Laffer already out for the season with his ankle such will need others to step up for the next fortnight.

So its likely MCA v either SLC/ Villa or Iona. Dont be surprised if Iona pip SLC and Villa get through to th GF on F/A. Villa looked the best team in the pre-season games agsinst MCS. Ill let the sth side debate the possibilities of that. Interesting though.

Anyone know the MCA v SPC score. That will benchmark Padua. MCA had Dreghorn starting today after injury. Cpt Baker offers plenty. Lets hope he plays next week. He has cpt many Qld age sides over the last few years and is a great rep from this comp.

Bond up over Easts. Bond played well, Easts didnt. Bond scrum was going backwards but Bond did enough to play through to 80. Best for Bond were both centres, both break-aways and reserve forward Lachlan Connors. Easts will have plenty to think abt as they wld have locked in the points prior to...

Padua and SPC seasons will be judged on facing MCA. Looking at past history you wld assume that MCA has the upper hand. The score from the weekend that people are not talking abt is Iona v SPLC. It cld eventuate that both of these teams could roll both SLC and Villa????

At the end of the day Iona will determine who goes through. Though I heard they lost a couple of good players for the season recently. Iona v Peters? What was the damage at Tivoli?? Heard Dreghorn is back for half at least for for MCA, possibly Laffer as well.
