    Where to for Super Rugby?

Righto, let's shake this up... Bill Pulver is highly competent and doing a fantastic job in trying circumstances :)

    Where to for Super Rugby?

A new administration would have a better chance of driving through wide-reaching reforms; the current lot have lost all legitimacy. Anything they do will be (rightly or wrongly- and more likely the former) seen as feathering their own nest. They're tainted, they need to go.

Classic Wallabies out to make a difference.

This is a fantastic initiative. School visits are so important when it comes to capturing the hearts of kids.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

The whole "we need to toughen them up" kind of attitude just doesn't necessarily work with everybody. If that's the only way you know how to coach (and given Stiles' well-documented penchant for public humiliations of his players, the evidence suggests that for him, it is), then you aren't going...

Yeah, this is an interesting conundrum for us. I'd actually rather DP to 10 and Quade to 15, tbh, but that might be too much of a reshuffle.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Dean Mumm has had an op-ed published in the SMH today- in his role as president of RUPA. More evidence (not that it was needed) that the ARU is completely dysfunctional.

So the ARU has a bequest to the tune of $350k annually for the next five years, in order to fund schools rugby. How much management consulting work can they give to their mates for that sum?

Knuckles stoking the furnace of the Brumbies-to-Melbourne train. All aboard!

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Hopefully the players go for strike action in the NRC.

It's past midday and no announcement of a presser yet- somebody's pulling AussieD's leg. :(

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Wayne Smith was writing about the same thing the other day. Would really throw a spanner in the works if 3 Saffer sides went north (probably a good thing for Australian Rugby, but surely the travel bookings for next season need to be made very soon?).

    Where to for Super Rugby?

We all just need to accept that whatever criteria the ARU plans to cut teams by, they will only be applied ex-post facto.

What has that got to do with the price of fish? Hahahahaha

The Samoan government tipped in some cash, though they don't seem to be saying how much. This is from a Stuff.co.nz article: So I'm assuming that the travel/accomodation costs were probably covered by the government, and the social media posts are probably payment in kind.

Clearly, they should be forced to subsist on nothing but bread and water, and walk on their knees until their penance is served.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

One wonders (or at least, I do) whether this might be a meek attempt to prevent a vote of no-confidence. If such a motion is moved by RUPA, it'd be much more significant than one coming from either of of the aggrieved franchises.

    Reds 2017

Agreed on your latter point. But I'd say that because Kerevi has demonstrated no improvement in ball security or defence, then the coaches are clearly not doing their jobs. Quade has a pop-gun boot. Whether that's because of injury or technique, the coaches should be insisting that somebody...

Does it ever occur to you that these problems might have something to do with the coaching? If the coaches are coming up with plans that are completely ineffective, then no matter how well they're executed the players will look bad. After a season of awful defence, surely we have to consider...

Stiles reminds me of the coaches I had in high school. No idea how to motivate a team, just thinks that the 'old-school' hard arse approach is the way to go. In what world is public humiliation of your players considered to be acceptable, let alone ideal, coaching practise?
