This is 100% the approach of Knox with Colts are concerned as far as I'm aware. In the clubs prime they used to get the top tier guys in a year group over, nowadays that is unrealistic, and the shift has been to getting those glue guys who might have potential to grow their rugby abilities too...

Turning my attention to div 1 now that 2 and 3 have wrapped, interesting to note this weeks prelim finals are made up solely of 4 clubs: Hunters Hill (2), Waverley (3), Colleagues (5!) and Blue Mountains (2). Throw in the fact that Blue Mountains (2), HH (1), and Waverley (2) already make up 5...

In theory I think you'd rather a club like Knox plays Barraclough, Stockdale and Robertson, or Irish plays Barraclough, Stockdale and Blunt than have a repeat of this year's mess. Will leave that one to the decision makers though...

Yep can't see it happening, all the better div 3 clubs face one major issue or another. Irish: Could maybe stretch to a third grade side at best (5 games of Halligans), no colts Knox: Couldn't get 3 grades out Merrylands:: Couldn't get 3 grades out weekly - though they did play a couple weeks...

I don't see it happening. They've certainly got a great group of 25 or so that rotate in and out of their top side but they borrowed a second-grade side from West Harbour and a Colts outfit from Easts... they're in a weird spot but they probably belong in division 4 or 5 based on the fact that...
