What have you got for us Bern? A grade side in the finals? A top half finish in club champs? Some silverware!? Give us a bold prediction we can hold you to ROS.. it's what the people want

Even though it'll be a weaker Easts side given I'd imagine they're taking the top 23 up to QLD, this kind of stuff is great for the game and a great yard stick to see how big the gap really is between the two comps... go Mountain Goats I'd say all of subbies will be rooting for you. I recall a...

The Ghost of Bernie is your best source for all things Iggies in here.. I enjoy his quips, no matter how shill-ish they may be ;) Here's his early comms on season 2025, the second one for the joint merger. Excited to see if they can build on some promising momentum from 2024..

This is 100% the approach of Knox with Colts are concerned as far as I'm aware. In the clubs prime they used to get the top tier guys in a year group over, nowadays that is unrealistic, and the shift has been to getting those glue guys who might have potential to grow their rugby abilities too...

Everyone was freaking out about the Hills or Briars Tongan geezer playing 2nd div 1s meanwhile we got Andrew Fifita playing for a Judd cup on Saturday :D

Side note, with Hunters Hill in the 2s and Colts GF, what's the equation for the Cowboy Cup? Newport sitting in 1st at 3,113 with no more games to play, Hunters Hill trailing by 89 on 3,024. Is Waverley also a mathematical shot on 2,891 with GFs in all 4 grades? If the same point allocations...

Caught it on NSW Rugby TV, looked like a great spectacle with some good skills on show. Some of those old dogs can still rumble!

That's because the real action is in division 3 Eastcoast! It's a cold world being a tip man in GAGR, damned if you do, damned if you don't, don't let them get you down! Final makeup of the finals is Waverley - 4 (Kentwell, Whiddon, Judd, Sutherland), Colleagues - 3 (Burke, Judd, Sutherland)...

On this, I've seen that Knox 1st Grade are going up against their Brothers IV Brothers legends team at the School No1 for their postponed Gala Day on Saturday. Thousands of people stream through the gates on Gala Day each year at the school (and the main event is usually the school 1st XV game...

Turning my attention to div 1 now that 2 and 3 have wrapped, interesting to note this weeks prelim finals are made up solely of 4 clubs: Hunters Hill (2), Waverley (3), Colleagues (5!) and Blue Mountains (2). Throw in the fact that Blue Mountains (2), HH (1), and Waverley (2) already make up 5...

In theory I think you'd rather a club like Knox plays Barraclough, Stockdale and Robertson, or Irish plays Barraclough, Stockdale and Blunt than have a repeat of this year's mess. Will leave that one to the decision makers though...

Have to second that, the professionalism was great and that call when Newport went over was spectacular. Also enjoyed whoever was on the division 3 play by play.

Yep can't see it happening, all the better div 3 clubs face one major issue or another. Irish: Could maybe stretch to a third grade side at best (5 games of Halligans), no colts Knox: Couldn't get 3 grades out Merrylands:: Couldn't get 3 grades out weekly - though they did play a couple weeks...

    Sydney Subbies 2024

I don't see it happening. They've certainly got a great group of 25 or so that rotate in and out of their top side but they borrowed a second-grade side from West Harbour and a Colts outfit from Easts... they're in a weird spot but they probably belong in division 4 or 5 based on the fact that...

Grand Final Results - 3/3, you're only as good as your last round! Clark Cup (1st Grade): Irish def. Harbour 19-14. For the first time in their short history, the Oysters will end a suburban rugby season without a premiership. Fantastic showing for them defeating Knox and Merrylands on the way...
