2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Noticed Starkey and N Kellaway missing from the NSW team sheet, one is a centre and the other a backrower/lock that should provide adequate cover if required you would think, especially if Kellaway is back on form as suggested by @newbie from Saturday's game? Any ideas why he wasn't in the...

@Newbie, BAsed on your observations from the weekends games between NSW QLD and Baa Baa's, Would you care to have a stab at an Aus 15 and possibly 23?

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

The signs are ominous for the hillbillys from the north given they only just scrapped by the Baa Baa's the other day!!

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

That is largely the reason i thought Foley organised his troops better, better front foot ball and control from the forwards. That said, individually, To'omua busted his guts out and never quit, despite some close attention from the Tahs forwards. I would still be picking To'omua as my starting...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Foley got the points more for his ability to link his backline together, rather than on individual performance. If i was picking the wallabies backline, i would still have To'omua at 12 and Beale on the bench, but think Foleys ability to bring his back line together is better.

    Waratahs 2015

Chapman will retire at the end of the year i expect, i think Mumm is a direct replacement for him. bringing an old head in to back up the front line locks and nurture the young guys through. Anyone watching the U20's will note that the boys smashed Tonga 60 to not much and are looking good to...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Thought Kepu had a cracking game yesterday, the line break is one for the career highlights reel. Hooper strong, out-pointed Butler and Pocock when he came on. thought Palu was very strong, as was Skelton. Beale continues to slide off tackles, but god he looks dangerous on broken play...

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Great news about Wilkin, considering his form on the 7's circuit seems to be right up there, it is going to make that no. 7 jersey even more hotly contested.

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Also, in an un-NSW related matter, i read yesterday the competition report from the Australian 7's championships and noted Brad Wilkin was named player of the tournament. Any chance he might be available for QLD and/or Aus 20's?

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Based on the team listed way back on page 19, looking at the 24 boys who played down at Rockdale and the boys missing through injury or exams, they look like being one outside back heavy, or one lock/backrow heavy. There look to be two wingers on the bench at this stage in Yassmin & Davies, and...

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

See updated below: Still seems to be a lock and centre up for real grabs? Unless Korzyck is going to go into the second row, and potentially Kellaway into the Centres to free up some wing space?? 1. Sandell 2. Fainga'a 3. Orr/Sa'aga 4. Hanigan 5. ?? 6. Korzyck/Croke 7. Gunn/McCalman 8...

    Waratahs 2016

Its a tough one, as there aren't many of the key forwards coming through. In terms of like for like replacements: Potgeiter - Dempsey Betham/Taqele - Kellaway & Clunies-Ross AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - Stewart Expect big things from Stewart,. he has been outstanding in an ordinary Gen Blue squad so far. The other...

    Waratahs 2016

Thought it was probably a better fit here then the 2015 thread. In light of the announcements of people moving, what are some peoples thoughts on replacements/additional players/extended squad members for the 2016 season?? Currently looks a bit like this (bold = GONE): Current Match Day 23...

    Waratahs 2015

News in the Sydney media this morning that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is gone for up to a month with a torn tendon in his knee. Sounds nasty!

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

I will confess to not having done to much following of the age group for years, however have paid a bit of attention over the past 2 years as these group of boys have left school and started to appear at SS level. truth be told, it is probably the more entertaining rugby going around, which...
