    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Well GG, I do my best.... After I get some team lists through I will put up a Match by match review on Friday. If anyone gets any please post - as I only have "ins" at a few schools.

A Shared premiership is on the cards. From what I can glean so far this is going to be the closest season in a while. There's no over confident, cashed up Churchie rugby supporters wringing their hands in anticipation this year. Even the Nudgee old boys squad won't be so confident walking...

The minute you bring out the cotton wool, murphy's law will kick in. Nothing more certain than getting injuries after you start thinking about avoiding them. At these guy's age just let 'em play!

From dispatches I'm getting out of Sydney the boys in Qld 1 and Qld 11 that are standing up are from Nudgee and BBC. Ominous signs for anyone hoping to challenge NC for the title this year. And BAG I wouldn't worry about justifying the so called GT "Claytons" recruitment drive in anyway, NC...

Guys there will be players that make the Qld squad that have not trialled.

they had special dispensation last year and were allowed to pack with 4, sometimes 5 and who cares how many is in a chess team. That's like asking how many in a game of shuffleboard on a cruise ship... correcto - Mooney is very good.

I'm looking forward to the blue bags giving some teams a fright this year...no doubt with Mooney at the helm and some very good coaches running the firsts they will play a smart brand of rugby. I'm sure the First IV Chess team won't be the front row again this year.

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2015

There may be well be a couple of players that are being protected from injury by minimizing play - don't be surprised by some bolters in both the Qld Sides and Aussie Schoolboys

OK I take it back BBC supporters looks like you are closer to TSS across the grades then I thought. I also heard from several sources that the BBC 14A backline was devastating. Lightening quick hands and feet. It seems there are 3 outstanding teams coming through now: BSHS 13As, BBC 14As, NC...

Not sure what your beef is 68. But no offense intended, there never is. Write a letter to an editor or ring Current Affair with your try hard, politically correct whinge. Take a serapax.

The weekend of the second last trial game before the season starts for most teams. It's a funny time of year for GPS Rugby boffins, coaches and players. Soothsayers, Witch Doctors and Horoscope specialists are being enlisted to pray for no injuries at State Schoolboys, which seems as if it...

GSP, I think you will find Oakhill rolled Joeys in a trial before the season started. Wasn't much in it. Joeys don't enjoy the dominance they once had down there though. Azzuri is obviously a stickler for facts and has come out punchier than Josh Reynolds after a cold shower and having his...

RD, be careful, don't fall into the trap some over exuberant BBC tipsters fell into last year with the Firsts. In my experience tipping 13As to win a comp when a serious game hasn't been played, has a very High Degree of Difficulty. My mail has BBC mid field at best. But as always - I'm happy to...

Not sure of the results you speak of Jedi GSP. However, I will agree from my limited knowledge that there are more stronger school firsts outside of the GPS comp in Sydney than here in SEQ. I will put it down to rugby playing population size - pure and simple. There are also more boys turning...

Ventured to the lush, green grass of Toowong and watched a mates son play the BBC U14s on Sat. GT were walloped in the Bs but looked good in the As for a while. GT had them in the forwards most of the match. But that BBC back line is slicker than a Greek barber...GT U14As were impressive, but...
