RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

I’m still perplexed about this whole Hodge tackle saga Frame 1- hodge is wrongfooted and it’s a line ball whether arms or shoulder will contact first Frame 2 - First contact is definitely arm to arm. No shoulder or head contact yet. Frame 3 - Yato leads with his chin/chest/arms wrapped around...

What if they were the best available staff despite their failings? You’d shut up shop? Or shuffle the deckchairs and go backwards? Not sure your tenure would last long .

All this pinpoint kicking on both sides is a big concern for us with KB (Kurtley Beale) at fullback!

Nice to see some decent goal kicking. Our rubbish performance in that area is going to cost us.

We’ll see how the citing lottery works I guess. Yato did a Fijian sidestep and in the process of trying to use his chest as a battering ram ploughed his head into Hodges shoulder. Hodge was basically a speed bump and they both came down in the collision. He will be pretty unlucky to see a lot of...

I think Hodge is ok. Right arm definitely wrapped at the point of head contact. 25:04

It was nice to make more than 15m on our kicks for touch. Hope you’re wrong

Hopefully we are just getting our usual abysmal game that rears it’s head every series out of the way early.

Foley is not an international standard goal kicker - statistical fact Foleys exits from our 22 are a weakness in his game - statistical fact Foleys tackling is average at best - statistical fact No opinions there I deliberately did not buy into the best 10 debate as it’s been done to death. All...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Nah It may be a tad facetious but it’s grounded in fact. His tackling is poor His goal kicking is not international standard. His poor kick exits had us consistently pinned in our 22. We may have been bereft of alternatives over the last few years, and it is clearly a little tongue in cheek for...

    Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

Too many wallabies. Maybe we could just say we’re a few players short and see if the ABs bench would help us out with their jerseys inside out.

    Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

Although the forwards lost us that game, unfortunately the only forward that has a better option in their position is LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto). Beale is still dodgy under the high ball and will be targeted big time, Need to rethink him at FB. Hodge is suspect positionally on the wing and too slow. Otherwise I’m...

Strange old game so far. ABs lucky to be 17 ahead. Not that much in it. A lucky try and a few unlucky penalties. The usual professional fouls to protect a lead, often rewarded when you can’t kick for goal It’s probably a done deal now but I wouldn’t be brimming with confidence if I was a kiwi.

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says Ardie Savea was guilty of "dumb footy" after the flanker gave away a needless penalty in Saturday's shock 47-26 loss to the Wallabies. Hansen was highly critical of his team's overall lack of discipline, but it was Savea's brain fade late in the first half...

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

We never had a 10 with a pinpoint kick to utilise his aerial skills and other teams rapidly structured their blockers to impede his run. Once that threat was nullified his lack of kicking options was a liability only just balanced by his attacking threat. I’m not surprised we haven’t struggled...
