    Lions Tour Thread

I would go with most of Hugonauts picks. Flannery would get my hookers fee, AWJ the 2nd row jersey (with Hines on the bench) and Healsip 8. I expect Croft to start at 6 in the first test but to be dropped for the 2nd when the Lions get out muscled, while Flutey and Byrne will get the 12 and 15...

    Wallaby Bolters

As was McLinden. Guess its the equivalent of the Under 20's World Cup for older guys. Good decision in my view.

    Stormers vs Western Force

How funny was the drop ball by the 13 over the line. Makes Lote look good. Least Lote only had one hand and was doing a side step/flashy dive as he dropped it. Must have felt a right gherkin.

what surprised you about 2? The fact half were or that half werent? In my game on Saturday it was the first time in my 5 years of subbies that neither side had a Jonah (from Summer Heights High, not Lomu). Sydney subbies rugby would be dead without the support of the Polynesian, Islander, Maori...

    Stormers vs Western Force

But PB, I thought you dont blame the ref when you lose. I agree with you, he did cost you that game, but dont try and claim the moral high ground when 5 posts later you do the exact same thing that you criticise a whole country of doing. Edit - PB - dont take this as a personal attack, and I...

    Stormers vs Western Force

PB - Are you being serious here??? You went on for at least half a season how the ref/touch judges cost the stormers the game last year when they sent Burger to the sin bin. Dont go claiming the moral high ground when you have been as guilty as anyone in the past of blaming losses on officials.

    Oz U20 Team

I think we all had tears in our eyes on Fitzys debut. At least thats what I'm assuming his excuse was. ou dodged a bullet by having your computer down at the time on that one LG. Did we miss out on a bonus point in that game? Just as a single misfield is never the difference in a cricket tie...

    Western Force 2010

Re: Comings and goings at the Force I was one of the few that was pleased at the time with the Burgess for Holmes swap, well at least one of the few to voice that opinion. Many people owe Link an apology for their criticism of that decision. Of course Holmes is still very young and has time...

    Deviant Behaviour

It must be getting close to Internationals time. There have been low blows going left right and centre this week but it seems like we have all realised the ref is watching and have decided to put our hands up, appologise and shake hands so we dont get sent off. Bit like the Todd Clever/JOC (James O'Connor)...

Looks like I'm heading to Orange for to visit the grandmother for Mothers Day so cant help Im afraid Scarfy. Where is your party? All the pubs around the Eastern Suburbs will have it but you will be fighting with drunk younguns more interested in screaming. The Harlequin in Pyrmont is apparently...

    Poor old Rattlebones

Exactly Blue. Good old PB has a different view on toughness and fair play than most of us, (justifies schoolboy biting and gouging and abusing of refs :fishing) so of course he is going to be harsh on a traitor to his beloved country. Doesnt mean we should go down TSF route and stereotype the...

I do love a good agony aunt letter. Here is a recent one that has been doing the rounds amongst some in the rugby community. Feel free to move it to Jokes if you dont find it appropriate here.

    Playing rugby in 2009

How was it playing under lights? We ventured down to Campbelltown which I must admit wasnt high on my list of favourite places to spend ANZAC day. Plucked another intercept but this time got mowed down (wasnt wearing the white boots) and we went down 14-10. We did manage to move off the bottom...
