I would normally agree with your sentiments Big Dog but it has been a few more weeks for a few years now. Although the Wests team list is not plastered with big names the talent is there. As for a replacement, Phil Mooney was there last year but with his BGS commitments I don't think he really...

Most likely the QRU have all staff counting the player levy payments to ensure that have got every drop owed.

Any news on the sides for tomorrows games? It does not look like the QRU will be releasing the QPR Weekly this season.

I like your thinking regarding Wests not bombarding social media with new gains...... unfortunately I think the reason is not modesty but that there simply aren't any:(

Well done to Broadie. Does anyone from Wests know who has been recruited for this season? I hear that pre-season training numbers have not been great with no real new faces so far. On the minus column Wests have lost, Tyrone Lefau, Tim Smith and Jake Newell all quality players.

I genuinely hope that you are right, but it is very frustrating. Sam Greene was blooded at Wests and now......

The other cost has been player retention. With all and sundry focused on the new building it appears that nobody bothered to talk with the players and their future plans. Tyrone landed at Wests 2 years ago and is now in the Reds wider training squad......and the credit now sits with Norths. I...

I really hope that this is not the case as Jake played Colts at Wests. He is a former QLD and Australian Schoolboys prop, so yes "he's not a bad prop". If Wests have let Jake slip through their fingers on top of Tyrone Lefau and Tim Smith..........

What I meant was whether the sponsor provides the funds to a club to secure players already at the club or to attract players from other clubs or the club introduces the sponsor to the players, the effect and result are the same. BTW I congratulate any club that is able to do this as they are...

Far from character assassination, and was tongue in cheek and agree with you on his form, although he never held any leadership roles, why was he let go? Wests have had 3 players make NRC since its inception and now 2 of those 3 have left, why? Wests also lost players who went on to make NRC...

Yes, big loss..... Easts will be benefit from his humble personality, selfless approach, advice and positive reinforcement towards fellow team mates at training and on the field.

With most Premier players having to pay playing fees of over $400 plus travelling costs etc, I would suggest that waiving playing fees and a petrol card, Norths would not have to dig too deep to attract quality players. Forget about the petrol card and just waiving the players fees would be...

Liam Dillon took over from Tim Smith when he was injured early in the season, really grew into the position and finished the season strongly. The Colts 9 is Jacob Van Eeden who came on off the bench a number of times for the Premiers and played well so he will also be pushing for the spot and...

Well that will make for an interesting tussle between Tim Smith and Liam Dillon for the 9 spot. My money will be on Liam.

I do hope that the new coaching team have committed to defined days and times. In the past guys in these types of roles have turned up sporadically and have accepted the roles on a "I'll do my best to get down" basis. I get the feeling this is not the case this year.

More positive news from the Kennel and whoever was involved in the article from Wests should have made sure Michael Broads title was correct and then elaborate on his role. This can only help to attract new players as well as help retain current players

Just looking a the Bulldogs coaching staff again for 2017. Poor old Pat Byron has gone from a famine to a feast ! Where were these guys last year when Pat covered all of those positions? I guess the new kennel is already starting to entice people down.... Hopefully it will have the same effect...
